Rosalind

I couldn’t believe the look on James' face as he barely paid attention to my words. Was that how unimportant I was? Was slandering me behind his back one of the things he did for fun?

“I want a divorce and I want it now.”

His eyes snapped to mine as if just listening to me and his brows tightened. “No.”

My face clouded with disgust as I glared at him. “What do you mean no? I want a divorce and I want it as soon as possible and you cannot stop me.”

He ran a hand through his hair, a move that used to get me excited but just annoyed me as every part of him. “If you don't do this, Rosalind, I will do whatever you want, and answer every request.”

Marina gasped beside him. “James-“ she started, but I cut her off.

“Since you are offering, I have a request.” I spoke calmly, gaining his attention.

He gave me his complete attention and the room tensed as they both waited to say what I was going to say.

My eyes met with Marina’s briefly and I could see the irritation in them.

“I want you to send Marina away.”

Marina gasped, her nostrils glaring in anger. “What? That’s absurd! You are such a vicious person!” She spat at me but James held her back, his gaze still trained on me.

I refused to back down from his stare and waited to hear what he had to say to my request. He sighed, breaking our gaze. “I’m sorry Rosalind.” He met my gaze again.

“That’s impossible, but if you make another request, I promise to do it as soon as possible.”

My teeth gritted against each other. He was going to pick Marina over me. He didn’t even think twice about it.

“Then expect my divorce contract.”

And with that, I turned around and left, shutting away the outside world as I stormed out of the room and the hospital.

Half expecting him to follow me outside to convince me otherwise, I looked back and he wasn’t there. A pained chuckle left my lips as i angrily wiped my tears. Did I really expect James to do that?

I thought maybe if I meant something at all, he would chase after me…

I shook my head in pain as I retrieved my phone from my bag. I needed a ride and I couldn’t return to that house, not when Marina and James would be there.

The phone rang only once as my brother, Chris’ voice came through the speakers. “Hello sis, what’s up?”

Taking a shaky sigh, I tried to make my voice seem as normal as I could. “Hey Chris, I’m outside the Central hospital, the one closest to the town mall and I need a ride.”

“Oh the one you took me to two years ago, the night of my game?”

I nodded despite him not being able to see me. “Yes, that one.” I cleared my throat.

“Okay ill be on my way then.” He replied and i sighed again.

He paused, and I held my breath, hoping he wouldn’t sense it, but he’s my brother. He knew me more than anyone else.

“Are you crying? No, that’s not supposed to be a question. You are crying, Rosalind.”

At that moment, a sob left my lips, and I could hear him curse at the other side.

I covered my mouth with my hand to stop another sob from escaping while he asked softly.

“What happened, Rosa? Please talk to me.”

“It’s nothing, Chris, I'm just going to need a good divorce lawyer.”

The silence from the other line had me holding my breath and I swallowed hard as his voice came from the other line.

“What the hell?” He roared into the phone. “What did that asshole do to you? I’m going to kill that over pampered son of a bitch!” He angrily yelled into the phone.

Pulling the phone slightly away, I sniffed and wiped my tears before clearing my throat. “It's really nothing important , Chris. Marina woke up, that's all. So would you be here soon?”

The silence reigned again and I pleaded with the heavens to let him drop the topic, but they weren’t that nice.

“Wait, he’s going to replace you because that woman woke up? What sort of sick asshole is that? Oh when I see him I’m going to teach him a lesson about taking advantage of people!”

I held the phone to my ear, gritting my teeth together to push back the pain. Chris couldn’t do anything to hurt James. The body guards would have shot him before he could.

A shaky sigh left my lips. “Can you just come and pick me up please? We can talk about this later.”

He sighed heavily, and I could see how angry he was that I was hurt by James.

“Okay, Rosa bear. I'll be there faster than you can think.”

Muttering a soft thank you and hanging up the call, I rubbed my arms because of the cold. I didn't wait to get a coat before coming here, and now I was freezing. Not wanting to stand still in front of the hospital and close to the two people I hated the most in the world, I walked slowly along the road on the sidewalk.

Letting out a sigh, I still tried to wrap my head around the fact that I was getting divorced on my birthday. My birthday, my so-called husband couldn't be bothered to remember. My eyes stung with unshed tears, but I was done with feeling sorry for myself so I blinked them back, but all that didnt matter as right in front of me, an accident happened.

Two cars crashed into each other with a force that sent me reeling back. A gasp left my throat as I saw the cars crash into each other and with that sort of collision, the drivers may not make it if someone didn't help.

Remembering I was a doctor, I pushed myself and ran towards the cars, just as some people also rushed towards them.

"Stand back, everyone. I'm a certified doctor and I can't do anything if you are in the way."

I waved my identification card in the way and they stepped back after helping pull the first driver out.

He was still alive but unconscious with a gash on his forehead and a bleeding thigh with a shard of glass in it. He was injured and I performed a quick first aid on him while another person screamed for an ambulance.

The person was the one helping the other driver, and his voice seemed familiar but I pushed that aside, focusing on the patient.

The patient let out a groan as I tightened the strip of cloth above his bleeding thigh to stop his bleeding.

"It's going to be fine." I whispered and the paramedics rushed in to take the drivers for immediate care.

Letting out a sigh as the crowd dissipated, I turned to take a good look at the other rescuer.

The man turned at the same time and as our eyes met, a gasp left our lips.

"It's you?!"

Rosalind“Shawn?” I gasped, not believing my eyes as those familiar blue orbs met mione and widened in recognition as they landed on me.“Rosalind? Hey.” Shawn broke into a wide smile, one that I had not seen since forever. Shawn used to be my best friend before I met James. so close to the extent people thought we were in love and were going to get married. But he disappeared 3 years ago suddenly and out of contact totally, I almost thought he was died. “How have you been, little Rosa?” He asked, using his nickname for me. But his eyes were colder than before. That was what growing up did to us."That is a good question..." I sighed, "how about you? RosalindStaying at Chris’s house was tough, so I rented an apartment as soon as I could. The apartment was fully furnished and it didn't come cheap, but it was cheaper than I thought it could be. It was like a steal. I also got new clothes because I wasn't ready to see James or Marina in that house. Not when I hated James at the moment. It was the day of Shawn’s welcome party and as I applied my makeup in the mirror, the thought of meeting the Lawyer and filing a divorce from the man I've loved for all these years felt like the hardest thing I could ever do. I never imagined that I would have to let go of him, my husband, but he already made it clear that it was nothing to him.Nothing more than a maid.Blinking back my tears so that I wouldn't ruin my neatly done make up, I distracted myself by pushing thoughts of James away and pushed away from the mirror so I could take a look at the whole outfit I picked myself. My figure stood out in the blue midnight dress i wore, showing th

And why to my father? My father’s grey eyes furrowed with confusion as he looked down at Marina, who still had her finger stretched at him.“Who is this? What do you mean by that and why are you pointing at me?” My father questioned, annoyance rubbing off him as we all stared at Marina. How dare she point at my father disrespectfully? It was one thing to treat me like trash, but my father? She must be wishing for trouble.“That’s not a way to address my father, Marina. Is there something you need to say? Then say it without acting like a child.” She looked taken aback by my words, and I knew she hated being told to do. She opened her mouth to speak, but James gave her a look before putting on a wide smile and stretching out a hand to my father, looking more respectful that ever, and nothing like the man who j

Why would you mention something that sensitive in public? And that fueled my desperation, and I pressed against the accelerator of the car, speeding up to the direction of where we were headed in the woods. “James you need to calm down-“ Mia started but I interrupted her. “Calm down? You can’t ducking tell me to calm down when the only things she’s been feeling in a hour is unending pain!” I growled as we flew into the woods. Mia sighed and pointed a tree and I expertly avoided it, almost bashing into it. She let out a sigh as we drove to a clearing and she undid her seat belt. “They are close.” And indeed as she said, I felt the bond, although fainter. She was dying. With a growl, I fell on my knees and turned into my wolf, much more better and stronger, and was safe from magic mind manipulation. Mia walked beside me, her lips pursed. She was also going to help, but I was owing her a lot. Anything was worth saving my p

I was bound and I had no idea why or what- It alll came running back. The reason I was tied. Marina and Lola both working together to make my life miserable. Just in cue, the front door opened and the walked in, the only source of light being a candle that lit up as they did. Lola’s eyes met mine and she smirked. “Oh hey, Princess is awake. Rosalind We had sex for breakfast. And for lunch, and when we finally planned to get out of bed and shower, we had it some more. Werewolves have a worse libido, and now that James and I wee mated, I wanted nothing but to have sex with him every single time. And he wanted that too, because he couldn’t get his hands off me. Our suite has a jacuzzi and I wanted to make use of of it before it was time for what we really came here for, the fashion show and James’s ex. James was seated on the bed, his eyes lazily watching me as I pulled off the dress I wore, showing my completely bare body. I didn’t need to look to know he was instantly aroused. I was , and he was only looking at me. I turned to him and gestured to the jacuzzi. “Come join if you want, I want to soak for a bit.” I didn’t wait for a reply as i seductively left the room, my ass wiggling as I stepped out to the jacuzzi room. I didn’t need to look to know that he followed instantly. “You are such a tease.” He

Rosalind Getting back to the city, I felt my power reduce to a manageable amount. It didn’t feel the same like when we were in our realm, and I could feel the significance, but I didn’t focus on that. I’ve always known James was a billionaire, but I didn’t enjoy the perks then. But now, standing in front of a five star hotel and feeling extremely out of place, I couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty. “This is where we would be staying, and also where the exclusive show would be holding.” James said as our bags were taken from us and we were ushered in. The inside of the building was even more magnificent than I could ever imagine. It was was like a palace, with lavish decorations and opulent furnishings, which was saying a lot, since I live with a billionaire, but this was more than I’ve ever seen. I couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed by the grandeur of it all. James seemed to sense my unease and took my hand, leading me through the lobby to the elevator. "Don

James Resisting Rosalind was getting harder and harder. How didn’t I notice she was perfect before? I was solely focused on Marina, but the minute Marina woke up, if felt like I could see again. She went from the unflattering doctor my grandfather forced me to marry, to the most beautiful I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Was it too early to say I loved her? Because I did. I sighed, as I walked around the pack. I had to complete the mating bond, my wolf wanted that more than anything. Maybe tonight, when we get to the city, I could take her on a date. A perfect date for a perfect woman like her. I’ll plan it. The pack members looked nothing like the toxic and evil ones who cheered Shawn on when he tried to steal Rosalind’s powers. These ones were similar to my pack members before they were killed. Sweet, loving, a big family. Hm. Could they have been under a spell? Maybe Lola? I wouldn’t put it past her to try something that horrible. I walked towards the dungeon, a
