Oakley’s hands were on her hips when she demanded, and everyone within earshot cast her a benevolent smile.
She sounded like a grown-up in a little girl's body.
Cassy shushed her.
“Oakley, your voice. We are not at home, and there are many sick people here. They need their peace.”
“Oops! Sorry.” She covered her mouth with her palm and walked beside us like a good girl after being reminded.
