Logan's POV:

Three months. It felt like an eternity since Selena had been taken from me. The mate bond that once thrummed with life and energy now felt like a frayed thread, barely holding on. With each passing day, I could feel my powers waning, my strength diminishing. It was as if a part of me was slowly dying, withering away in Selena's absence.

I pushed myself harder than ever before, training until my muscles screamed and my lungs burned. But nothing seemed to help. The betrayal of Luke, my trusted beta, only added to the weight of my despair. How could I have been so blind?
