8. HUSBAND'S FOOD

It was late afternoon before night fell. Eka came out of her room after resting since noon. Actually, there was nothing Eka did while in the room, other than playing with her cell phone. Every now and then she left the room and asked Endang about Mahardika.

Her husband was busy in his room. Eka did not want to disturb him. Moreover, she and Mahardika were not that close, even though they were officially husband and wife.

Eka descended the stairs. Her nose fluttered, smelling a very fragrant aroma that whetted her appetite.

Eka imagined eating this food with warm rice, fried tempeh and fresh vegetables. The worms in her stomach immediately started protesting. Asking to be fed as soon as possible.

"The aroma is delicious. This must be Endang cooking," Eka guessed while speeding up her steps because she was curious who was cooking.

Right at the end of the stairs, Eka saw Endang who was walking from outside while carrying grocery bags in her left and right hands.

"Endang," Eka called
