5. THE HILARITY OF MY WIFE

A few hours later. More precisely at 08:00 WIB.

Someone knocked on the door of the room. Mahardika happened to be awake, then swung his legs towards the door. Curious, who had come to visit so early in the morning.

"Yes, just a moment." His voice was not too big for fear of waking Eka, who was still asleep in a dream.

Mahardika grabbed the door knob, pulled it and the door opened.

"Mom?" Mahardika said half surprised.

"Are you awake, dear? Did I disturb you?" asked Annata hesitantly.

"No, Mom. What are you doing here? It's still early, Mom."

"Where's Eka? Isn't she awake yet?" Annata asked another question.

"Yes, Mom. It looks like she's very tired. So, she hasn't woken up yet. What's wrong, Mother?" Mahardika's brow furrowed slightly.

Annata laughed amusedly, "heum, no need to wake him up. Let him sleep. She must be tired after... Ehem."

The fifty-year-old woman did not continue her sentence. She covered her mouth with one hand.

"Ehem... What, Mom, if you speak clearly, Mom. Don't make Dika curious?"

"Oh my God, you are this. You don't even understand something like that? You're still pretending to be innocent."

Annata shook her head and laughed at her only son who, despite being married, still looked funny.

"Ah, Mom, what?" asked Mahardika shyly.

At first he didn't understand, but eventually Dika understood what Annata meant. Mahardika's face flushed slightly and looked very cute in the eyes of the woman who had given birth to him.

"You are. At first, you always refused to get married, but after it became official, you were so excited. Until Eka was overwhelmed like that," Annata teased again while pinching Mahardika's waist.

Mahardika also wanted to respond honestly. However, he decided against it because he had to keep his house a secret.

Mahardika let his mother fantasize with her own thoughts.

"Yes, go in there. How will Eka wake up and look for you? Don't let her feel lonely."

"Yes, Mom." Mahardika nodded and smiled slightly.

After saying that, Annata then waltzed away from the newlyweds' room. Letting the two of them bond in love as they should.

Mahardika closed the door again. Then walked to the bed. He smiled a little because Eka was still asleep there.

Mahardika watched Eka from a distance while folding her arms across her chest. He smiled to herself, remembering what happened last night. How adorable Eka's expression was when she was sulking.

Her cheeks, which were a little chubby, then puffed up because she was upset, looked very cute. Round like a bun. Maybe if you touch it, it will be soft and chewy.

Thinking about it made Mahardika chuckle.

While engrossed in her own thoughts, Mahardika noticed Eka's changed sleeping position. Originally facing this way, it now turned the other way.

Incidentally, Mahardika opened the bedroom window to let in the sunlight. At that moment, Mahardika saw Eka who was a little disturbed by the light.

Mahardika hurriedly ran to the window and immediately pulled the curtains. So that the sunlight no longer entered the room.

Mahardika breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Eka who was still fast asleep. Then, he looked back at his wife closely.

He looked back at Eka who was still closed. "She is beautiful when she sleeps." The sentence of praise, just escaped from his mouth.

Before he finished looking at his wife, Eka suddenly opened her eyes slowly. Mahardika was stunned.

Oh my God ... Until Eka saw her standing there, maybe her weak mouth would chatter carelessly.

Mahardika hurriedly went to the sofa and sat there. Pretending to play the cell phone. Meanwhile, Eka had opened her eyes wide and realized then.

She immediately sat down after looking at the wall clock, which showed more than eight o'clock.

Eka looked around and searched for Mahardika. It turned out that he was sitting on the sofa.

Eka got out of bed and rushed to her husband.

"Why didn't Om wake me up?" Eka asked in an annoyed tone.

Mahardika raised his head, then turned off the cell phone he was only holding. Putting on an innocent face, as if he didn't know anything.

"Yes, because I didn't have the heart to wake you up. I saw that you slept very well," Mahardika replied casually.

Eka stomped her feet a few times, "ah, why are you like that? You should have woken me up earlier. I feel bad with mom for waking up late. Later, I will be considered a lazy son-in-law."

Mahardika raised one eyebrow, "what do you mean?" he asked in surprise.

"Ouch Uncle, don't understand that, I often read novels on the green app. The daughter-in-law is supposed to wake up early in the morning, then clean the house. Make breakfast for her husband, and then what else? I forgot, but ah. I overslept because of Uncle Dika."

Eka grumbled and blamed her husband for trivial things.

Mahardika shook his head, then got up and touched his wife's forehead with his index finger. Slightly pressed.

"You've read too many household novels. What's more, you seem to still be trapped in a dream world, so you talk like a drunk."

Dika folded his arms across his chest. There was a slight smile on his face. He honestly wanted to laugh, but he was afraid Eka would get angry.

"Heum, Om doesn't understand my feelings. I'm afraid mom will get angry because I overslept."

Eka again expressed her anxiety and again made Mahardika shake his head.

"Mom was already here..."

"So what did you say? Mom must be angry because I haven't woken up yet."

Eka was so panicked, so panicked in fact. She couldn't think straight. Before the wedding, she had learned how to be a good daughter-in-law from reading novels and searching the web.

"Mom didn't say anything. She just asked if you were awake or not. Yes, I just told her that you weren't awake yet."

Mahardika slightly played with the intonation of her voice and sentences, making Eka who heard it even more stunned.

"So what did mom say? Are you angry?"

Oh my God, how cute Eka is when she panics. Not only does she look cute when she is cranky, she also looks adorable when she is nervous. Mahardika also spoke in her heart.

"I told you, Mom didn't say anything. She's not angry or nagging. Mom seems very happy that you slept well."

Eka immediately felt dazed. She reexamined her husband's words. Is it true that her mother-in-law is acting like that?

Seeing Eka who was silent, Mahardika felt sorry. "Already, don't think about it. Don't equate my mother with the mother-in-law in online novels. Mom is not an evil mother-in-law or a witchy mother as depicted in fiction. Mom is a woman who loves her children," Mahardika said while blinking her eyes.

After hearing those words, Eka breathed a sigh of relief and smiled widely.

"Ah, thank goodness, I got a good mother-in-law." Eka sat on the sofa and took a deep breath.

Her heart felt relieved now.

Mahardika looked back at his wife. He smiled happily, at the same time grateful for being reunited with such a sincere and innocent woman.
