Ashley's POV

The mystery behind Mattias' sudden death just cleared up. Realizing that his death was linked to me in any way was a great shock.

I couldn't believe he was the one who attacked me that night. He must have attacked me the same way he attacked Allen.

Mattias was a skilled soldier and I doubt if I could beat him on my own. If those men had not helped out, I might have turned up dead just like Allen.

I will ask Rocco about it, I muttered but I wasn't sure if he would open up. He had become cold since the incident.

I just got entangled with the Strikers Sect. I had thought that I didn't need to join the rebel group anymore but they kept their end of the deal and I had to keep mine.

Walking out of the cave, I looked around and smiled in satisfaction. The cave looked dilapidated and insignificant from the outside and one would miss it at first glance.

Returning to the barrack with my eyes open was problematic. I still did not know my way with my eyes wide open.
