Freeda Adelaina Miller P.O.V
The place is quiet, only the sound of crickets can be heard outside the house. I still can't sleep, because something is bothering my mind. Flynn crosses my mind, every time. I know this is not right, something is blocking me from what should I do. Flynn's confession earlier seemed to have done something strange to me, I don't know why. I just can't explain it, and now I don't know how I feel about him.
Cassius said I'd better say how I really feel about Flynn but right now I'm still confused. I used to notice that there was something between Flynn and me, I ignored that but over time we became closer to each other. Flynn sometimes came to my room and we talked, he was so sweet, he sometimes kissed my forehead and I felt a thrill. I was comfortable when I was with him, he took better care of me followed by Enzo. The two of them help me work on my tasks so I don’t h
Freeda Adelaina Miller P.O.V "You suddenly shouted last night, we were surprised and I also thought something bad happened to you," Enzo said. We are here in the kitchen talking while cooking for the meal this morning. "I'm sorry that I disturbed your sleep last night," I apologized and he just smiled. "It's okay Freeda, no problem, it's normal to have nightmares," Enzo replied. We were also about to finish cooking and I was preparing some plates on the table. The other guys are outside, fixing something there. I saw Flynn and the others coming in, I immediately averted my eyes, pretending to be busy cleaning the kitchen. "Let's all have breakfast," Alas said, they all sat down and waited for what Enzo and I would serve. Others followed and sat down as well. Jude is the only one who is not here, he's still asleep and snoring in his bedroom. I saw Maximus sitting in his chair at the end of the
Maximus Walter Skyler P.O.V In the middle of my drive, I heard Magnus' phone ring. He picked it up and answered it immediately. "I'm near there, let me just handle that thing," he said. He hung up the phone and looked at me. “I need to get there as soon as possible,” Magnus said. "What is the problem?" I asked as I speed up the car. “There was just a little bit of a problem with the company but I just fixed it,” he replied. I didn't intervene anymore because Magnus already knew what he was going to do. I entrusted it to him and I knew he would take care of it well. Skyler Distillery is so important to us and it’s the treasure that Dad left us. “Son, when Dad dies, you and your siblings will inherit this,” Dad said as we were outside the building. Mom was with us and they brought me here except for my other siblings. Dad didn't let them out of the house because they did something that made him angry. They ran
Freeda Adelaina Miller P.O.V As I rested, the scene I saw never left my mind. It's horrible to look at. Alas is the one I saw floating in the river while we were there earlier. My head started to get ache as we walked there while I see how he drowned himself there as if he was exhausted from life. So I warned him too and I knew he wouldn’t believe me. "Have you rested yet?" I looked at the door and saw Alas. He came in and I noticed that his t-shirt was wet, he was bathing the horses. "I've been able to rest Alas," I said and smiled a little. He sat on the side of the bed and looked at me. "W-what about what you said before? W-what do you mean? It's like you're warning me," Alas said. I gulped, wondering what to answer to him. "Ahh, I-I don't know either, I-I just had a bad vision b-but just don't mind that," I said and sighed. He seemed to want to know what I saw so he stayed.&
Maximus Walter Skyler P.O.V We were on our way home, it was already dark and Magnus was next to me talking to Flynn on the phone. "Are you all at home?" Magnus asked. "Y-yes," I heard Flynn answer on the other line. I could smell him lying and I could see in my vision where the others were, I could see them hurrying home and they were from the town. All of them are stubborn, no matter what else I do they will still disobey me. I'm getting tired of disciplining them all. I've been telling them the things over and over again. "Okay," Magnus replied and hung up the phone. We are near home in a few minutes. "How was your walk earlier Max?" Magnus asked. "It's all right, I've come up with an idea and plan to continue the mission that failed the last time," I replied. "Oh, that's nice! So what lead did you get there?" he asked. "You'll know it later when we're all at the same table," I replied and he agreed. When we got home I immediately parked the car in the side. I
Chapter Forty-Three: AcceptFreeda Adelaina Miller P.O.VNo matter what struggles I go through in my life, I have not missed a single one. This mission I entered, I knew it was difficult, it was different from my mission as a police undercover. I know what I do on the mission but here on the mission of the siblings, I am scared. I don't know where the mission will go.I knew I would be in danger and since I had said my final decision I had to take responsibility for it. We are here inside the treehouse together with Flynn and Enzo. We talked about the mission. "We just need to be careful and trust Maximus. I know Maximus who cares more about the safety of us all and he will protect you Freeda, we just need you this time, especially Max needs you more," Enzo said, leaning on a big stuff toy. “We know it’s hard on you Freeda but I admire your courage to face this mission with us,” Enzo said, he looked at me and I just stared at the floor. "Wait a m
Freeda Adelaina Miller P.O.V"I'm still sleepy," I heard Enzo complain as we cooked something to eat. My body was heavy this morning to move here in the kitchen, I woke up too early and I didn't get enough sleep last night. "Has Jude woken up yet?" Magnus asked. "He hasn't gotten up yet so I insisted to wake him up but he didn't get up," Flynn replied. I noticed the others coming down the stairs and going straight to the couch to lie down again. "So you get up from bed to get ready but why you're all lying here on the couch," I heard Maximus dictate to Cassius and Alas who was sleeping on the couch. The two of them are lazy. “I'll get up Max, but the food isn’t cooked yet,” Cassius said. "So let's sleep for about ten minutes first," Alas requested. I saw Magnus take a pillow and slapped them both. "Lazy people! Get up!" he dictated. Flynn and Enzo laughed. "Aish! Stop it!" Cassius complained. "Damn!" Alas groaned. After Enzo and I cooked and Flynn a
Flynn Dwaine Skyler P.O.V"Just defend yourself so you don't lose," I heard Freeda whisper. "I know you will win, I believe in you," I replied to her and I saw her smile. It was fun to watch Freeda smile. It's only now that I've seen her happy, so I'm reassured that she's fine."Beat me, Flynn," Magnus challenged me. Freeda and I are already inside the circle to fight Enzo and Magnus. "Start!" Maximus commanded. Magnus grabbed me by my arm and flipped me onto the ground. "You're so fast!" I dictated and he laughed. "I don't want to be beaten, I hate t penalty!" he replied so I laughed even more. So nobody wants to lose because they don’t want to catch the penalty. While trying to get out of Magnus's grip I caught a glimpse of Freeda and Enzo pushing each other. I saw that Freeda was strong so Enzo had a hard time fighting her. "Wait a minute. We shouldn't quarrel, we two always wash the dishes, right?" Enzo said to Freeda. "That's right, so what are
Maximus Walter Skyler P.O.VMy desk was filled with papers, my elbow resting on the table while my palm was on my head. A lot of things ran through my mind, thinking about the mission. It also caused a headache, I need to take time to do it and be able to plan it properly. The only objective which was was to kill Columbus. The traitor. I suddenly heard footsteps outside my door. I felt that it was Flynn and Freeda. I just ignored them and turned my attention to the mission. Remembering the happenings earlier in the morning, I saw that they had fun. I haven't spent my time with them for some time. because I was busy finding the culprits who killed my father, but I should give more time with my brothers. Time is gold, so I should cherish each moment of being with them. I might regret it when it's too late. That they might be gone from me."The clock is ticking Maximus," Klyde said when I first met him in the town. What he said made me confused. I don't kn
