Chapter Forty-Seven: Blood

When we got home Flynn immediately locked me in my room. "Just stay there, don't go out," he commanded and I could do nothing but obey even though I wanted to see what was going on outside. I sat on the bed while listening to the noises downstairs.

Earlier Flynn and I were happy to be together near the waterfall, but that happiness disappeared when the man with a black hood that I didn’t know suddenly came along. When I heard their conversations I seemed to understand that they knew him. I was just shocked to hear from that man that he wanted my blood. I was so curious as to what was going on, so I wanted to get out of this room. I was holding my head when I felt that suddenly I have an ache.
