Chapter 35- The challenge

Third POV

Ella was shattered. She had cried for hours and was now too drained to shed any more tears. Her bond was severed, and for the first time, she was consumed by grief.

She got out of bed, strode to the door, and left the room in her white nightwear. The woman who had been assigned to her had already left after putting her to sleep.

As she descended the stairs, she noticed a group of warriors whispering to each other. She caught a few words from their conversation.

“His body arrived this morning”

“Enzo is fucking insane for cutting him up like some piece of meat”

“Alpha told us to keep it a secret, till he gets back to deliver the news to his mate, she is already broken from his death”

Ella heard every single word from their mouth, her mate's body had arrived and now she wanted to see him.

“I want to see him, take me to his body,” she said as the warriors turned and saw her, their eyes widening in fear.
