Chapter 23: Mango

I woke up early in the morning and took a jog around the park with anxiety and uncertainty as I tried to pull myself together just before the late sun rose and greet everyone a good day. The cold breeze embraced my skin, cooling down my body as I ran aimlessly in circles a few times.

My phone rang suddenly as I gasped for air after running half an hour straight without a rest.

"Hello?" I answered without even checking who the caller was.

"Your mom and I are preparing some dishes your girlfriend will like. What time are you going to arrive?" a familiar voice asked.

"It's still too early to prepare dad...," I chuckled—they seemed to be excited to meet Laia again.

Should I tell them already?

I don't want to wait for Tiffany's return before I secure Laia and I's relationship.

"Dad, I have something to tell you later. I'll message you or Mom after I pick up Laia from the villa," I said.

"Villa? I thought she lived in an apartment near your area. Is there even a villa around the area
