Edwin’s POV
He was in Ultra mode.
My eyes were stuck on the two of them, Orion very quiet as he studied them as well, my fists already clenched as I watched the mysterious blond girl Azian as occupying herself with. She was not a regular student here as this is the first time Orion and I had ever sensed her aura. My sharp eyesight, traveled down the base of her blood red lips, lined with a thick coat of a human accessory, Anna had denied Alessia from applying before, lipstick. Her green eyes flickering with the flame, a flam every witch carried, magic. My eyes trailed to her slightly pale skin that gave me another steady fact that matched the mystery which was her hazy aura.
She was a hybrid. Half vampire and half witch. A very powerful one at that, judging from the coverage of her aura. I emitted a low growl at this, how was it she was a vampire and a witch? Those races were basically mortal enemies, especially in this realm. Even at this school
Legions POV I loosened my tie with one hand whilst the other pushed the large oak doors to my office open, a grunt escaping my lips at the darkness that was awaiting me. Taking a step toward the light switch I suddenly froze, my heightened senses picking up as I heard a loud battle cry, and the sound of heavy footsteps lunging towards me. I slowed all this down in my mind, calculating every step the intruder made towards me, moving swiftly and lightly as the wind, my animalistic reflexes jerking into motion. In one swift movement I grabbed the howling man by the shirt, lifting him up with ease, turning him in midair, and slamming him down onto the hard wooden floor. My fangs came out, as I reached out to strike, large claws elongating from my human hands halfway transforming into my beast, feeling the light burn of my now dark brown irises feeling them glow like two lit candles in the darkness. My claw moved in the air, aiming to end the life of the poor soul who tho
Legions POV Caleb’s lingering silence to my blatant confession confirmed all that was on my mind. His eyes remained thoughtful as they rested on me. I knew what he was thinking. I could even sense a hint of fear when he uncomfortably shifted under my torturous gaze. It was an action I was used to. With the title of The Dark Prince fear was the only emotion I got. “Then you mustn’t run,” Caleb began, “ you mustn’t run from her because even if you do I assure you Xeric will soon take charge if you spend too much time away from her. Just incased you haven’t noticed, he’s a hell of a lot possessive” he explained, on hand massaging his thick neck, gulping softly, “ I believe we all know the consequences of leaving Him unsatisfied could be for lack of lighter terms…deadly.” He ended, his gaze point set on me. My fists tightened of their own accord at his words, my gaze falling on the table. I could fe
"I just finished talking to Ena," Anna began settling down on the living room couch beside Abigail. She looked over at the Mother witch who was nose deep in a book. "And?" Abigail replied glancing up from the black spellbook she was reading, hoping for the best news but her magi already warned her to not be hopeful. Anna sighed pushing a strand of her chestnut hair behind her ear, "The Rebellion is becoming worse.” “See, this is why when we first came into this world, I specifically asked Ena to cover up his aura, now too many people know about Azian" Abigail replied feeling like what seemed a migraine coming on. It was nothing she couldn’t fix with Anna’s herbal mix tea. “Yes, I understand that, and if you remember well, we did, but our magic, as you know is not as great as Omegas and even with all our masking spells, his aura grows every day. It’s like he punches holes through our protection the bigger he gets. Soon our protection will mean nothing.
Kaya’s POV I sat staring at the cream white ceiling, ignoring the barks of the neighbor’s dog that seemed to never want a moment of peace and quiet. Nevertheless, I was glad my first day of school was over, if anything, it sucked, and was downright confusing. I glanced at my window, pausing a second, staring at the fading light of the sun as it continued its climb down from the sky. I couldn’t help but wonder at its serenity, the calm peace of it all. Very soon it would be home and the moon would come out to play. Knock, knock. I glanced at the door blankly for a moment before getting back to reality, "Come in!" I yelled, crossing my legs beneath me as I sat on the bed. It squeaked open and my Aunts head popped in. She smiled opening the door wider, "that bad huh?" She asked, leaning against the door frames with a small smile grazing her lips as she studied me. I hated that talent she ha
Kaya’s POV I took out a bunch of books from my locker trying desperately to find my science book. My back jean pocket vibrated and with one hand I reached for my phone whilst balancing the stack of books in my other I answered it tucking it between my ear and shoulder while glazing over the books for the right one. Day three of school and already a truckload of school work. Yeah, School shall not be missed once I graduated. "Ally? I called through the phone, grunting as I balanced the books, “where are you?" I asked slipping a few books back into the locker, "I just pulled up, where you at?" she replied. "By my locker," I replied changing shoulders "Okay, good, I'll be right there soon." "Sure." I tucked my phone back in my back pocket, finally finding my science book, closing the locker shut. "Hey Kaya," A smooth voice greeted. I froze in position at the soun
Kaya’s POV "All of them are weird," I replied turning away, "Eyes,” I huffed repeating her subject topic “My eyes are brown. If you ask me she should focus on Azians. Changing color and whatnot, and the other guy is just plain mysterious and creepy if you ask me, let's not exclude her-" I rambled "Wait what did you say?" Ally me off. "Exclude her?" I repeated, glancing up at her. "Before that," she countered. "The other guy, I always forget his name,” I mumbled prodding my mind, “do I even know it?” "No before that!" Ally exclaimed with a look of curiosity, "the eye thing!" She added. I froze at this realizing I had let that part slip out. She probably thinks I’m crazy. Then I’d blame this town for turning me into a crazy old hoot, "Azians changing eyes?" I whispered eyes darting to and fro, in no place particularly, "It’s nothing. Must have just rambled. I have a large imagination, my mom says so all the
Kaya’s POV My breath seemed to hitch as I stared into his ocean eyes. Those eyes were so deep I could drown in them, those lips were irresistible as they hovered only a few inches away from mine. He looked at me with intensity as if I was a puzzle he was trying to solve before giving up the mystery and pressing his lips against mine. I was complete at that moment. "Kaya" he gasped, kissing me again, "Kaya." "KAYA!" I opened my eyes, staring back into plain brown eyes, contrary to my dream. My eyebrows drew together at the sight of them staring back at me wide-eyed. Then something sent my left chick swinging the other way, a stinging sensation dancing on the surface. "Ow!!" I screeched rubbing my aching cheek, as I glared at Ally who was looming over me with a smirk, “For Pete’s sake what is wrong with you?!” "That’s for trying to kiss me,” she grinned, “Let me make that clear for you right now,
Kaya’s POV I pulled up my long straight blown hair into a high bun, checking my reflection out in the mirror. I was dressed in my sports attire and I was feeling very down about it. Firstly because frankly I just didn’t do well in sports. I just couldn’t get the gist of it, whether it was football, volley ball or just plain basketball. I didn’t like the running thing, the jumping about and most importantly the sweating. This could be the reason why I was the only girl left in the girl’s locker room, still putting up the courage I needed to get to gym. I had to leave though, I had already stalled ten minutes. Plus, I told Ally I would join her soon too, so there’s that. Sighing I moved toward the door freezing when I saw it. Khloe and Azian …. Kissing. His arms were wrapped around her protectively, her small petite frame seemed to fit in perfectly with his that was for sure, her soft giggles filling up the em
------TEASERMy eyes traveled around the dark shadows of the throne room, aware of how of the steady beat of my heart, thumping deep inside me. My hand gripping the helm of the fire sword tightly. She is here. Alpha Stated anxiously on edge, Omega spread his magic around us feeling every corner of the stone walls, and the large pillars that held up the throne room."Azian?" A familiar voice whispered, but loud enough to leave an echo, causing my eyes to strain through the darkness, my golden lenses scanning the room until it rested on the outline of a rough fallen figure covered by crossing shadows as it sat at the feet of the throne."Kaya!" I called out immediately wanting to reach her, "Don't!" She yelled back her hand stretching out into the straying moonlight, and I faltered back when I saw the dark veins whispering inside her like poison, as she immediately pulled her hand back, a slight whimper escaping her lips.Edwin's hand c
Edwin watched Azian pace up and down in the kitchen worriedly, his frame was rigid and his jaw was clenched, worry lines all over his face. He had tried to speak before but Alpha had made it clear they didn't want to talk. He was seemingly still mad at him for not telling him about Legion. "Will you stop worrying? Kaya will be alright. You know Abigail knows what she's doing right?" He asked him. He only received a growl from Alpha completely shutting him up, his fiery golden eyes daring him to say another word. Edwin looked down at the counter, holding his tongue as Azian went back to pacing but it was only a few minutes later when he spoke again, "Seriously, you're giving me a headache, stop with the pacing, try to relax. " he tried again this time instantly regretting it. "DO NOT ASK ME TO BE CALM!" Alpha barked, his eyes glowing brightly. "Okay, okay, okay," Edwin replied quickly. Alpha pausing for a second before Azians t
Lillian paced in Kaya's room watching as Anna fluffed Kaya's pillow, relaxing her in her bed, the light burn on her shoulder, glowing brightly before disappearing as the dragon snorted. The doorbell suddenly rang and Aunt Lily froze, "that's her, that's got to be her,” she said full-on panicking, "what should I tell her? She won't believe anything I say! I'm screwed!" She grunted biting her lip, "if I tell her about witches and Lycan and dragons she will know I've lost my mind! And she wouldn't be far from the truth because I feel like it-" "Relax," Anna said rubbing her shoulder, as the doorbell rang again, Liam stood up, “Let’s just tell her Kaya isn't feeling well that’s it, she doesn't need to worry herself too much, at least not now," he said walking toward Lillian, "Come on, Gabrielle’s waiting." He said before heading out the door in a calm cool and collected manner. Lillian watched him shocked for a moment before she turned back to Anna, "you
"It's official," Liam began as he walked into the house with Lillian and Ally by his side, meeting the blank stares of the witches before him. "She's gone, poof! No trace of the witch! Not even her daughter! It's like she never was, even the pictures of her are missing,” Lillian said, "Good Morning,” she added looking around at the group, her eyes falling, and voice tripping at their expression, "no sign of Kaya and Azian yet?" She asked. Ena shook her head, "two days and still nothing,” she paused glancing over at them, "and of course Stephania won't be found, I'm sure she was gone long before we thought of her. She might not even be in this realm anymore." "Realm?" Liam echoed. Abigail ignored the question standing up, "Two days and no sign of Azian or Kaya, I'm getting worried." "W-what if they never come back?" Ally said, finally voicing the one fear she was afraid of "Don't say that, they’ll come back,” Lillian snapped back gl
The air seemed dark and stale, every Lycan in the vicinity had made themselves as scarce as they could if not called upon by their King. It was a dark day and no one wanted to be in the presence of Zerth at the moment. King Damian looked down at his son, his jaw clenched at the state of him, watching as he laid there unconscious, no sign of recovery in the long run, as would have happened had it been a mere cut or a stab like before. This time his face stuck in a painful expression that even if he hadn’t as much as opened his eyes yet, King Damian could feel Xeric howl deep within Legion, the pain a tingling sensation in his ears, his fists hard and clenched tightly, unable to take his eyes off the state of his son. The Dark covers were laid above him, stopping just below his shoulders and the large curtains were drawn to shield him from the sun. No one was allowed to see the Feared Prince of Lycan in this state. King Damian feared even he was never meant to see his
KAYA'S POV I gasped out suddenly realizing I had barely been breathing through that whole ordeal, "w-what was that, Azian?" I asked slowly, my heart beating soundly. "It's our bond" he began softly, "or do you mean that it's a dragon?" He asked again a little confused obviously. I turned to him sharply, overwhelmed "what do you mean bond?!" I asked my voice rising by the minute. He raised an eyebrow as if accepting some sort of challenge, a slight smirk on the corner of his lips "Bond Kaya, You like me don't you?" He asked. I huffed out at the sudden question, before shaking my head, "Azian I don't understand any of this! None of it is making sense to me? Why did you bite me?" He rubbed my shoulder, leaning forward, his lips skimming my neck causing my heartbeat to rise, his h
Kaya’s POVI shot up gasping for air, my head a buzzing mess and my heart thumping fast like it had just run a marathon. I tried to adjust my breathing, blinking fast as the blurry world around me suddenly took up a better shape.Light Blue walls came to my vision, my headache clearing slowly. I blinked again as if in a haze, eyes trailing around the room. It was very large which made me think it was definitely not my room.My eyes came into contact with a shadow by the window, running out of breath for a second, the sun's rays blocking his face from view. My breathing was low as I stared at it before a figure crossed my mind and a name to match it."Azian?" I whispered, my eyes squinting to see the form.It moved only slightly, its vo
"MOTHER!" Khloe screeched super speeding up the stairs, "you won't believe- Mother?" She asked as she spotted her mother lying on the floor. Panic flooded through her as she raced toward her, black dust covering the floor her mother was lying on. "Mother?!" She repeated as she crouched beside her. She was completely motionless. ***********Stephania suddenly woke up to find herself in a chair, her eyes shooting open, her gaze landed on her daughter. "Thank heavens!" Khloe said putting down the Smokey piece of sage she had in her hand. "T-The Spell, it g-gone" Stephania said looking at Khloe "What happened to your mother?" Khloe asked as Stephania rose to her feet. "I was over the box the one with the soul spell and it suddenly began to leak, blood, " she began looking at herself in both wonder and shock before turning to her daughter, "Then it just exploded and I felt like, it had taken some power out of me, with one strong punch, I
Liam listened to it all like it had been a movie at the back of his mind, memories flashed back as everything was explained. He had been used, taken away from those he loved, without a second thought. But that wasn't the worst part, his daughter, his life, had been taken from him. Lilian had held his hand through it all and he was glad she did although it looked like she was this close to bursting. "He's a dragon? The boy who was dating Khloe.” He repeated trying to let it sink in. "Yes, "Abigail replied,” dragons are shifters, they have a humanoid version unless of course the cursed ones or rogues simply put" she explained noticing his confusion, “And he was only dating Khloe because he thought she was his mate. Much like you, he was also under a spell, only one much more powerful," Abigail explained to him as Lillian took a sip of her hot coffee. "And a mate is more like a soul mate?" "In the
