I stepped into the training Arena feeling all hyped and at the same time nervous and shit. At least, a thousand men and women were watching from their seat. Today happens to be the annual fighting contest held among the pack members for those intending to join the warrior wolves. They are given a chance to prove themselves against an opponent in a fair fight.
It was more like a ritual where one physical strength and perseverance is tasted before he or she is tagged with the warrior stamp. I wasn't left out of the competition either.
My opponent is a young girl about my age even though she look a lot older and far more stronger with ripped muscles than I could ever come to have. From the look in her eyes, it was obvious she has been waiting for this very moment her whole life and just can't wait to get me out of her way.
I have watched her spar with most of the male warriors even before now while stealing short glance

Dressed in my training outfit of black jogger and plain armless T-shirt. I pulled my hair up in a tight ponytail with a band and then slipped on my ankle boots that was starting to wear out already. *Ava's POVI stirred awake slowly with a lazy yawn and a half body stretch. I could feel the soft fabric of bed sheet tucked around me.
