"Ma'am!"

"Ma'am!!"

"Ma'am!!!"

She woke up with a start, gasping loudly for air and jumping from the bed. She winced when her neck made a small crack from the sudden motion and rubbed the small spot,

"Ma'am?" Her bleary eyes rose to meet the flight attendant in front of her.

Her brows knitted together in confusion, "What's wrong?"

Plane? Landed? Hours?

"Oh shit!" She jumped to her feet, cursing as she did and looking around. True to the attendant's words, there was nobody on board. "Wait, Wait a moment. What about that boy? The one who was here with me?"

She pointed at the empty space beside her. The attendant gave her another sorry look, "He must have left with the other passengers when the plane landed, I'm sorry."

Aurora tried to back a wince when she felt the acrylic being shoved further into her finger, her eyes watered and she quickly looked away. She had no idea that it would be this painful to get artificial nails done and now that she did, she was never going to do it again,"Oh, I think this color would look lovely on you," Her aunt, Christy, literally shoved the magazine into her face, showing her the variety of nail polish on it, "This one, I absolutely adore it," She pointed to a particular catalogue, beaming brightly.Aurora gave her an unimpressed look, resisting another wince when the manicurist forced another acrylic into my thumb, "It's red," She said monotonously and Christy's grin widened,"Just like your hair!" She was starting to hate the idea of coming here.Aurora rolled her eyes, shutting off her aunt's tittering. "Why the fuck are you smiling like that?"Aurora's head snapped up at the sound of the brusque voice, her eyes narrowing on that of Evan's. He tried to peek at her phone but she quickly hid it away from his view, tucking it into the front of her overly large large. It was a pink fluffy material that she was regretting wearing since it was almost sixty degrees out here, even with the air conditioning she could still feel sweat rolling down her back."Your lover boy, huh?" Evan perused, grinning mischievously. She scoffed and rolled her eyes, choosing to ignore him and facing forward. Her aunt stepped out of the dressing room then, clad in what looked like a black bottega that she was sure just came out this season,Aunt Christy twirled left and right, the light material flowing with the motion, "What do you think? Fabulous, isn't it?"The clerk that had followed her in nodded enthusiastically, "You look wonderful, ma'am!" she clapped, "It's almost like the dress was made for you." Whi

Her legs moved in accordance with the haunting tone, she pushed herself with her feet off of the ground and did a wide twirl. The music was like a soothing balm to her soul and the steps came easily to her. This was why she liked dancing The Swan, it felt similar to her own life. Trapped, unable to live life freely, to love freely and under a spell, most possibly for the rest of her life. She prepared to do the final quadruple arabesque when the music cut off suddenly, causing her eyes to fly open. "I can't imagine why people enjoy shitty dances like this," Ryan said gruffly, his hands were tucked in his pockets and he was leaning against the entrance doorframe. She cocked her head to the side and placed a hand on her hip, "When did you come in?" "That doesn't really matter," He answered, walking further into the room, "I brought food." He raised the lunch pack in his hand, the corner of his lips quirking up. She frowned when he settled beside where she stood, folding his legs as

She heard a monotonous voice echo, "Are you okay?" Aurora muttered something even she didn't quite understand what she had said. She tried to twist but felt cold hands clamp her down, the icy touch was enough for her eyes to fly wide open. Her gaze finally settled on the older-looking doctor with large glasses perched on his nose. "How do I look?" Aurora peeped over her shoulder at him, fluffing her hair one last time before swiveling to completely face. She smiled, sauntering towards where he nervously stood and reached up to arrange the bow tie around his collar,"I think you look splendid," He cocked his head to the side and she chuckled, "What?" Ryan shook his head, the curls bouncing with the effect, "Nothing, it's just that I wasn't quite looking for that word. Aurora walked hand in arm with her father, the weather was fairly gloomy with the sun glowing dimly from between the clouds. She was thankful that it wasn't going to rain today, or at least that was what the forecaster announced earlier this morning. The wedding was a open event, set up in one of the finest gardens she'd ever seen."I think it's going to rain," Natasha muttered from beside her, frowning at the darkening clouds.Mason hissed, jabbing his arm into her side, "Don't jinx it." Aurora smiled at their banter, shaking her head softly. After the entire rollercoaster, she'd signed off from the school to the dismay of the Chancellor. Louisa has gotten the role, thank goodness, and she was in the process of preparing for the main competition which was weeks away."Don't fret," Her father told them warmly as they settled on the last row of chairs, "It's not going to rain, my feet always tingles whenever it's about to and so far, I haven't felt anything."They both gave his open m
