I packed all the dishes into the kitchen sink. I had volunteered to wash them since Ashina wanted to show my mate some things which I appreciated. It was good that she would finally start to learn her blue blood powers as the day it would be needed was fast approaching.

I had always hated my parents for locking Ashina down here. I thought they hated her and didn’t want her around. I thought they didn’t want to see her in the pack. I always thought they detested her.

But I came to realize they had gone against themselves just because they wanted to keep her safe. They wanted to protect her and that was why they had no choice but to keep her here.

Anytime and every time I visited her here, I felt bad that she was here alone. She was just a kid. She was just a normal kid like every other child out there. Why shouldn’t she be able to do things that other children do?
