Chapter 183: Switch your partner

“Are you gonna attend the party?”

Klaus voice hit Nicklaus in his zoned out mind. A small breath escaped his lips as he responded.

“It’s not like I have a choice. We’ll make it quick”

Honestly Klaus wasn’t any different, he dearly wished he could skip the event too. His date was Mia and that to him was enough reason not to attend but it was an official request so not attending would send a wrong message.

With Nicklaus back still turned to him he said “what’s your plan? The detained perpetrator was killed by Juliet which means there’s no more witness”

“I know what it means” Nicklaus sharply remarked. It could be said that he was in a fowl mood tonight.

“Are you really okay?” Silence was met with his words and Klaus being himself didn’t know when to stop.

“You ended the search for her so suddenly, what’s your plan. It’s unlike you to give up, is there really no other reason for your decision?”
