Agonizing Wait

When I left Kael talking to Sarah in front of her house, I imagined they would finally make amends, and that made me really happy. Despite not agreeing with my brother's actions, now that he seemed to have come to his senses and understood that he loved Sarah, I was quite optimistic that things were getting back on track. But now we were returning to Seattle, and Sarah wasn't with us, and that, in itself, said a lot.

"Damn!" Kael suddenly exclaimed.

We had just disembarked from the plane and were waiting for our luggage. Kael was focused on his phone, apparently reading some messages. His expression showed great irritation, and his stress level seemed to have reached an alarming point, something visible with a simple glance.

"What happened?" I asked, holding Madiso
