Heartbreak

Days kept on passing and the contact between them kept on minimizing. He didn't come close to her after that night. When he would come to sleep, he would just turn his side and sleep rather than engulfing her in his sturdy arms as he used to.

He was aloof.

As if he had gone far, far away from her. That made a mist encompass around her.

He would just come, change his clothes, go to his study or either go out and when he would be back, he'd lay in the bed either reading a book or sleep.

She would keep on looking at him, keep on waiting for the moment when his eyes would raise and rest on her for more than a second as they used to lay before but he would just give her a glance, occasionally.

As if she didn't exist.

As if nothing between them existed.

He ignored her like she meant nothing to him.

As they weren't husband and wife.
