Hannah’s Pov

Aaron followed the doctor as they walked from the reception down to the office of the doctor. As they walked down to the office, Aaron asked his men to stay outside the door of the office. He didn’t permit them to enter the office with him, but at the same time, he told them to stay outside the door for security reasons or emergency services. While the doctor and Aaron entered the office, they could have a discussion, just as the doctor had told him earlier.

Aaron was so nervous, and all his mind was was that I must not die, or else he would sue the hospital and also find the person who caused the accident and run away, leaving us to die.

As a doctor, the man could read anxiety in the face of Aaron, and he just had to assure him and tell him to calm down so he wouldn’t harm himself by having high blood pressure or hypertension because the worst tragedy would be that if Aaron died thinking I was dead and later on I came back from a coma, that was just my thought anyway.

Aaron’s Pov As we were in the corridor, the doctor had pointed to the hospital room where Hannah was admitted and then before we got to the door, something terrible happened. I never saw it coming and I was very sure that the doctor didn’t see it coming either because it was an unforeseen circumstance. If we could see the future, we would have prevented it and found a way to avert such occurrence from happening. But that’s why we’re not God who sees the present, past and future. The occurrence made me realize that anything can happen and no matter how tough you might be, you won’t be able to avert it from happening since it was destined to be, it will surely happen without any obstruction coming in between. I know you’re eager to know what happened but wait, I needed to explain some things about life to you. Well, here is what happened—All the lights suddenly went off in the corridors and everywhere became dark as if rapture was about to take place, I had always heard about raptu

Aaron’s Pov “Is this what was taking you eternity to open? because I don’t even understand the meaning of all of these!” I yelled at the doctor as the door swung open.“Are we supposed to be arguing or checking on Hannah?” The doctor asked me sharply. “Whatever!” I responded, entering the room as the doctor followed me, and I slammed the door behind me.“Is your phone not with you so we can use it as lighting?" I asked him.“If my phone were with me, I would have switched it on! I’m not dumb, Mr. Man.” The doctor shouted.“What’s giving you the confidence to talk to me in this manner? I’m Aaron, the so of the wealthiest person in this city, and I deserve some respect, even if you don’t want to accord me some.” I shouted back at him angrily.“Respect is not demanded; it’s earned. I’m a doctor also, and I deserve respect from you because it’s not easy to be a medical doctor who has treated hundreds of patients in different sectors, ensuring their wellbeing and health are balanced.”

Aaron’s Pov As we waited in the underground tunnel, my heart was beating faster than it should. I was worried about what would become of us if we stayed any longer in that abandoned tunnel. But then I had to remain strong like the tough guy that I was, even though I was weak inside. The doctor was there silently without saying anything; we just kept staring at each other’s faces through the dimmed torchlight on Hannah’s phone.I was holding Hannah and putting her head on my laps so she could rest without getting hurt in any way. Since she was someone I loved, I couldn’t afford anything bad to happen to her because I would be hurt if she was hurt, and I would be sad if she was sad because of the love I have for her, so I will take part in whatever feelings she has at any moment. "So, what’s the solution now?” I asked the doctor sharply.“Solution? I don’t know. The first and foremost thing to do is to avoid death and stay away from those mafias.” The doctor replied to me sharply.“Ok

Aaron’s Pov “What do you mean by that question Hannah?” I asked her politely.“Calm down Aaron.” The doctor interrupted.“Don’t tell me to calm down, someone that I have been waiting for is finally awake and asking me who am I? That doesn’t make any sense at all.” I yelled.“Can you reduce your voice and avoid putting us into trouble with the way you’re just shouting.” The doctor cautioned me.“Please what are you guys talking about? what are we doing here?” Hannah asked.“We came here for refuge, because everywhere is on fire.” I relied. “Fire! Ahh!!! Ohhh!!” Hannah shouted with a countenance of panic and frustration. With her reactions it looked like I triggered a memory for her which made her really restless and scared. She had stood up already and about running out of the underground tunnel as I ran after her.“Calm down, it’s not physical fire. What I mean is that there is trouble. And we just came here to hide.” I said, holding her hands. “Why would you mention fire when you

Aaron’s Pov While in the underground tunnel, the sounds of bullets were still audible, and the blasts were becoming more and more intense, which made us frightened as we were standing in the tunnel. Everywhere was silent, and I was trying to process the things that the doctor just told me. I guess the doctor was thinking about how to make Hannah recover from her memory loss so he could prove himself to me as a good doctor, and I guess Hannah was there battling with her memory and trying to figure out how she ended up in the underground tunnel and what we were planning to do with her. It weighed me down when I realized that she had lost her memory, and I was so scared and restless that it was better for her to remain in comma than for her to leave comma and not recognize me. It was a hard pill for me to swallow and a painful reality that I had to live with for a long period of time. I felt weak and shattered. If she didn’t recognize me, I was very sure that she wouldn’t recognize Fa

Aaron’s Pov “Oh, that’s a good idea; we should do it just the way you have suggested.” The doctor replied to me.“It’s not a suggestion; it’s a plan for us to implement.” I said to him:. “Oh really? Are you the one to carry out the plan or me?” “Is that supposed to be a question? I brought the plan, and you’re to carry it out with immediate effect. It’s a very easy thing to do.” “Easy? Maybe you should prepare the sedatives for her to consume since it’s very easy, just as you have said.” “What do you mean? Are you not the medical doctor here, and is she not your patient?” I asked him sharply.“Oh, now you acknowledge me as the doctor, right? After all your insults all these while!?” He yelled at me. “Oh that! I’m sorry, but please, you have to do this; it’s the only way for Hannah to remember everything and be totally fine.” I pleaded with him. "No, I won’t.” He tried proving obstinate. "Yes, you will.” “Force me then.” He dared me. "Okay, please, I’m begging you, our belove

Aaron’s Pov As tears trickled down from my eyes, my face was filled with rage and frustration because of the loss of my two associates and close friends. I felt really weak and disappointed because that was the first time someone would die in my hands, and it was the very first time I would lose two loved ones at a particular time. I felt really bittered at Hannah because she was the cause of everything. She was involved in an accident, and we came to check up on her, where the mafia now attacked, took people’s property, and killed them afterwards. My men were trying to safeguard the lives of others, and in the process, they got killed by the mafia, which made everything complicated and worse. They were not the only ones that died; a lot of patients died in the hospital; some people were at the point of death, and others died instantly after the bomb blast or the greenade explosion. The hospital was in a mess; the lights, doors, and windows were shattered, and everything was like a

Aaron’s Pov I watched Hanna lay down and sleep on the chair that she was seated, she battled with the sleep for some minutes but the grip was too strong in her as she found herself under the influence of the sedatives that the doctor had put.I was happy that she had fallen asleep already but then I remembered that the sedatives could kill her if it’s too much and that would be worse if she dies because I would also be arrested as an accomplice for a murderous person. “Doctor, hope she is not going to die? And hope nothing bad will happen to her?” I asked him with a tone of concern.“What kind of question is that? Are you praying for her to die?” He asked me sharply.“No I’m not. I’m just curious to know because when sedatives are too much it can lead to death.” I told him.“When did you finish medical school?” The doctor asked me. “Medical school? What do you mean by that?” I asked out of curiosity.“You were talking like a doctor just now that’s why I’m asking.” “No… that’s not

Aaron’s POVThe low hum of the city filtered in through the windows as I sat in my office, staring at the paperwork spread out in front of me. The numbers blurred together, and I realized, for the first time in a long while, I was finding it impossible to concentrate.I leaned back in my chair, running a hand over my face. I’d been doing everything I could to keep things running smoothly at Spears Real Estate, especially after the chaos of Hanna’s kidnapping and the media storm that followed. But no matter how hard I tried to keep my head in the game, my thoughts always drifted back to her.Hanna.She’d been staying at my place ever since the hospital released her, and though she was physically healing, I could tell she was still struggling emotionally. The trauma from what Michael put her through was something that wasn’t going to fade overnight. But that wasn’t the only thing on her mind. I knew she was trying to figure out where she fit in my life—if she even had a place there. And

Hanna’s POVI had thought that once I was back on my feet, things would start feeling normal again. But standing here in Aaron’s penthouse, watching the city lights blink outside the window, it was clear that "normal" was nowhere in sight. Not after everything that happened with Michael. It had been a few weeks since I’d been released from the hospital, and while my body was healing, my mind was far from it. I still woke up in the middle of the night, heart pounding in my chest, haunted by the sound of Michael’s voice and the feel of cold steel against my skin. But even worse were the thoughts that followed—thoughts about Aaron, about what we’d become after all of this.Aaron had been nothing but supportive, always there when I needed him. He had gone from cold and distant to someone I could rely on, someone who made me feel safe in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time. But that safety came with complications. The more time I spent around him, the harder it was to ignore the growing ten

Aaron’s POVThe elevator doors slid shut behind me with a soft click, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I stared at my reflection in the polished metal, the dark circles under my eyes and the tightness in my jaw a testament to how much weight I’d been carrying lately. I looked like hell, but that didn’t matter right now. Not when Hanna was upstairs, resting, still healing from the trauma she had just gone through. And now, as if dealing with Michael hadn’t been enough, Maureen had reappeared, dragging her own shadow over everything. She had come to my home—Hanna’s temporary refuge—to check on her. Or so she said. But I knew better. Maureen was never one to act out of kindness or concern. There was always an agenda.I could still hear her voice, calm and composed, as she had stood in the hallway only moments ago, trying to justify her involvement with Michael. "It was never part of the plan for her to get hurt," she had said, as if that made everything better.I clenched my fists, a

  • Attracted to my billionaire boss    Chapter 148: Healing Together

Hanna’s POV The soft murmur of voices outside the bedroom filtered through the door, but I couldn’t bring myself to move. Every inch of my body ached, bruises blooming across my skin, a cruel reminder of how close I had come to losing everything. I shifted slightly in the bed, wincing as a sharp pain shot through my ribs. The bedroom was dim, the only light coming from a small bedside lamp casting a soft glow over the plush surroundings. Aaron’s apartment—no, his sanctuary—was a far cry from the cold, sterile hospital room I had woken up in earlier. He had insisted on bringing me here the moment the doctors cleared me for release, refusing to let me spend another night under harsh fluorescent lights and beeping monitors. I was grateful, but I couldn’t shake the heavyness in my chest. I hadn’t just escaped Michael’s grasp; I’d barely clawed my way out, and the cost was starting to weigh on me. Everything felt surreal. I was safe now—at least, physically—but my mind kept replaying

Hanna’s POVThe night air hit me like a cold slap, jolting me back to reality as my lungs burned with every gasping breath. My legs ached, but I kept running. I didn’t have a destination in mind—just the desperate urge to get away from Michael. The knife was still clutched tightly in my hand, and I could feel its weight grounding me, a reminder that I had finally fought back. But as I rounded the corner of the building, a crushing thought stopped me in my tracks. Aaron. I had left Aaron behind. What was freedom without him?My feet skidded to a halt, and I leaned against the brick wall, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst. How could I have run? I had left Aaron alone in that room with Michael, with a man who was out of his mind. Michael wouldn’t stop at anything. He was dangerous, and now Aaron was at his mercy.I pressed a hand to my chest, trying to calm the panic that was rising inside me, but the fear wouldn’t let up. Images of Aaron—bleeding, hurt, or worse—floode

HANNA As I emerged from behind the dumpster, Aaron's eyes locked onto mine, filled with relief and concern. His face, etched with worry, softened as he took in my disheveled appearance. I collapsed into his arms, tears streaming down my face, as the weight of our ordeal finally began to lift."Thank God you're safe," he whispered, holding me tightly. His warm breath against my ear sent shivers down my spine, but this time it was a comforting sensation. I felt protected, sheltered from the horrors we'd faced. The sirens and chaos surrounding us faded into the background as I buried my face in his chest, letting the steady beat of his heart calm my own racing pulse. We stood there for what felt like an eternity, the only sound being our ragged breathing. Aaron's hands cradled my face, his thumbs wiping away my tears as he searched my eyes for any sign of hurt. I knew he was looking for more than physical wounds; he was searching for the emotional scars that Michael had inflicted. I tri

  • Attracted to my billionaire boss    Chapter 145: Escape Plan 2

Hanna’s POVMy heart raced in my chest as I felt the weight of the knife in my hand. The cold steel was both a comfort and a curse. I had finally found a way to fight back, but I wasn’t sure how far I was willing to go to protect myself. Michael’s eyes widened in shock as he took a step back, his hand pressed against the wound. “Are you insane?” he hissed, a mix of disbelief and anger in his voice. The blood seeped through his fingers, staining the fabric of his shirt. “Let me go, Michael,” I said, my voice steady despite the chaos swirling inside me. “This is over.”He took another cautious step back, assessing the situation, but I could see the anger boiling in his eyes. “You think you can just stab me and walk out of here?” he spat, a cruel smile creeping across his face. “You don’t understand who you’re dealing with.”“I understand perfectly,” I shot back, my grip tightening on the knife. “I know you’re a coward who thinks he can control everything with fear. But not anymore.”M

Hanna’s POV“Are you done?” Micheal askedMy eyes were on the keys he had hooked to his belt buckle, the keys to the door.I nodded and pushed the plate of half-eaten steak towards him.I held my breath and watched his face for a reaction as he picked up the plate and left the room nothing. He hadn’t noticed anything, great. I slid the knife out ofmy pocket and held the sharp edge to the wires binding my arms. It was extremely uncomfortable having to hold the handle with my fingertips while trying to cut through the wires.Fortunately, it was slowly making a dent, but it was torture seeing how slow it was. I was starting to lose hope in using the knife when I heard footsteps approaching, and I hurriedly slid the knife underneath my buttocks and sat on it. Michael returned back, this time with my phone to his ear. He was talking to someone, and there was a satisfied grin on his face. Had Faith managed to get him what he wanted? I felt bad for her; she was dragged into all this simply
