Each and every one of those involved in the incident had a scar to remember this day. The one with the most striking and ugly scar, unsurprisingly, belonged to Angie. She had the hardest time recovering from her injuries too, due to an infection.
When she was finally well enough to join everyone else for meals, Conrad properly apologised to her and offered to relinquish his leadership to her.
“I’m fine staying as the advisor.” Angie politely rejected.
BaoBao grumbled incoherently
Elias thrusted himself deep inside her. Angie gasped, “Elias?!” She was still sensitive from having just climaxed. “Yes?” Elias drawled, as he moved very slowly, in and out of her. “Mmph…!” Angie could feel the entire length of his rod. He was teasing her, successfully. She started craving for more. “Elias…”
It did not take long for Elias to suspect that Angie was pregnant. Angie experienced almost every symptom of pregnancy that one could possibly have. Elias freaked out just like Angie expected, but he managed it a lot better than she thought he would. His face was like an open book, while his actions spoke of his priority. Only after she was well taken care of, did Elias let her provide the same comfort back. “I’m scared...” Elias admitted with his voice a mere shaky whisper, as he rested his forehead against hers. “How’re you going to get past 9 months like this?” Angie smiled and patted his head. “I’m still here, aren’t I?”
The blood test for, what was called, the Unlimited virus, turned out to be positive. Like Angie had predicted, Elias swiftly tested Angie as well. When it turned out positive, he made everyone else test themselves too. Valerie being infected as well came as a surprise to everyone. Suspecting that the virus had mutated after so many years, and that people would be infectious far earlier than initially thought, everyone played safe. Those that had to be quarantined, were quarantined. They wore masks even though they were indoors. They maintained a safe distance from each other despite sterilising everything all over again. After three days, when
The sight that greeted Luna when she opened her eyes told her all that she needed to know. “I didn’t make it.” BaoBao shook his head sadly with tears rolling down his chubby cheeks. “It was mere seconds… He was so close… Elias was miserable…” Luna took a deep breath as tears gathered in her eyes. She could picture how devastated Elias must have been. She could only hope that her early goodbye would help ease his guilt somewhat.
Luna woke up shivering on cold hard ground. As she pushed herself up lethargically, the coarse grains dug into her palms. After looking around, she realised that she was in a large cylindrical tube. Dim light glowed at both ends. The pin-drop silence was occasionally broken by the sound of cars in the distance. Luna looked down and found herself dressed in a dark blue sailor uniform. There was also a small label on it. XX high school. /This uniform… It’s the same as Hina’s, right?/ [Matches the description!] /What was the original soul doing? Sleeping out here in the cold, and in her uniform…/ With that signal, BaoBao triggered the memories of the original soul, who was a girl called Nozomi Kuro. Her only clear memory of her father was when she was five. It was of him leaving through the rundown main door of their small house with her m
Her father had settled down comfortably with a new family. He even had another daughter who was not much younger than her.Nozomi was still thinking about what to say and what to think of her father when she rang the doorbell.By luck, it was her father who opened the door. When her father’s face fell in horror upon seeing her, Nozomi’s heart involuntarily wrenched. While she was still in a daze and thinking of an appropriate greeting, her father excused himself from his family and brought her to a quiet and secluded area.“Um-“ Before she could say anything, her father fell to his knees.“I’m sorry...” He weakly said./Eh?/ Nozomi struggled to make sense of what was happening.“I have left that life behind. I want a normal life now. I’m sorry but please understand… I’m just a normal person…”A small frown formed betwee
“Of course, it’s just a matter of time.” Her shadow spoke again. “You were just lucky.” Nozomi concluded that the shadow could hear her thoughts while the book could not. She had to be careful. “What’s this? It’s like this is the first time that you’re meeting us. You haven’t recovered from earlier? Girl, you’re already losing it at such an early age! I’m disappointed!” Shrill mocking laughter that grated on Nozomi’s nerves echoed inside her head and worsened her mood. “Are you really okay with going out just like that? You can’t possibly be okay leaving the world as it is?! How is it fair for you to be forsaken by everyone and suffer so much, only to die quietly like that?!” Slowly, the mocking voice changed to one of anger. Throughout the entire time, BaoBao could not hear a thing. To him, Nozomi was either talking aloud to herself or thinking to herself. It was like listening to one half of a conversation while someone was
Streets were filled with natural and created monsters like never before. Magical people gathered a lot sooner, leading to pleasant and unpleasant encounters among them. This turned out to be fortunate for Nozomi. The magical people were so preoccupied with each other, that Nozomi had room to scutter around under their noses. Nozomi went on until she experienced her first fainting spell. The effects of her sleep deprivation had caught up to her. /Just a little more.../ Nozomi had to get to a place where no one was around before she could transform and teleport herself to some place safer to knock out at. However, she started to experience mini blackouts while she dragged her feet forward, step by step. Her eyelids were getting too heavy for her to keep open. /Damn it.../ Her gait became lop-sided, and her steps faltered. Then, she finally collapsed. Strangers and schoolmates stared at her in shock. [I think it’s time to meet Hina again. She’s here.] BaoBao reassured Nozom
