Apparently, my statement caught Europa by surprise as she gasped. “I… I didn’t.” she frowned. “Yes, you did. You wanted to forget what happened. You wanted a new memory to override a bad one. And I didn’t mind. I was happy to give you a good memory. And while Eurymedusa may have used me, she still did choose that it would be me.” I shrugged.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t… I didn’t mean it in that way. But I am still glad to have the memory. And I hope it won’t be the only one before I leave.” Europa smiled, nudging me with her foot. I chuckled, shaking my head. “I mean, as long as you’d be willing to be with me again.” she added quietly. “Of course, I am. Though not at this very moment.” I smiled, getting to my feet.
