Wolferan gave the order to his men to look into Leanunya’s victims after he left the dungeon. He needed to know if what she had said was the truth. If it was true then not only was she not evil but could also be a decent person. This was starting to frustrate him.

He had come to believe the silver-eyed demon was evil. She had killed hundreds of people yet now it was under inquiry that she didn’t kill indiscriminately. This only brought more questions to mind. Why did she kill only bad people? Was really just a killer or was it that she thought of herself as some hero?

He had to find out, but even with bargaining to give her treatment she was still hard to get any information from. He needed to get this information and in the shortest time. He then had a sudden idea that was a sure way to find out if it was true and give him time to talk with h

Leanunya managed to get some sleep during the night after a healer came and treated her broken wing and ribs. The healer had even given her some herbs to kill the pain which was a great relief and allowed her to get some sleep. She wouldn’t have been able to get much sleep otherwise and with the fact she hadn’t slept since waking in this prison cell she needed the sleep. She woke at dawn and sat up, yawning glad to get some decent rest before this unwanted trip. Although it gave her a higher chance to escape it was sudden and she was cautious. She knew Wolferan had to have some kind of trick to keep her under wraps as his prisoner. She just couldn’t figure out what it was.She stretched as much as she dared without causing herself any pain and sat waiting for this trip to Rynion. She couldn’t understand why he felt the need t

Leanunya looked around Wolferans house but only saw a manicured garden, thick forest and a small first road leading out. She then looked at his house and flicked her tail feeling injustice. He had a large mansion. It was so unfair to her. Just how many people had Wolferan caught to make such a fortune to have such a home while herself didn’t even have one.She then looked at Wolferan glaring. She had worked hard over the years and was still only living day by day. This injustice got her mind off the many questions she had about magic. Although it made her dislike Wolferan for his wealth and home. He had everything she wanted, a home and what she could tell a peaceful life. She grumbled silently for a bit before noticing there was no carriage or wagon to take them to Rynion. She looked at Wolferan suspiciously, getting a bad feeling. She flicke

  • Assassins Law    Chapter Twenty-Two

Both Leanunya and Wolferan had fallen into silence as he flew, each in their own thoughts. Leanunya didn't know what he was thinking about but as for herself she was thinking about his words about the difference in killing. She was also thinking about the questions he asked. She couldn’t understand his questions but his words about killing had let her see things in a new light. She had always thought that no matter who was killed it made no difference because no matter who was killed it would leave blood on her hands that wouldn’t go away. What he had said had changed her thinking, if she did good by killing then was it the same as just killing? She didn't know and she wanted to know. She thought about asking wolferan as he had answered several of her questions that none had before done for her but he was supposed to be her enemy.Althou

Wolferan sat by the fire looking over to the already fast asleep Leanunya. He couldn’t believe all the information he had already gotten from her in just this one day. He assumed she had let down her guard and answered most of his questions. There had been that one question about where she had trained that she didn’t answer.Although he had learned much about her he never expected. Honestly, he didn't expect her to be so naive. He had thought her to be smart but she was still so naive. He also was surprised by the fact that she had taught herself to read and write. That was something he really never expected. He had assumed she had gone to school but she hadn’t and had taught herself. So, how far could she have gone if she had gone to school or was taught? It was something he was both wanting and nervous to know. If she had,

Leanunya woke to a light drizzle in the morning. She had actually slept the whole night through. She was both daunted by this and excited, she had never slept a whole night through ever since she first went to the forbidden forest. She was feeling well rested. She rarely felt well rested anymore and was glad as she had needed the sleep.Although she was glad for the rest she disliked waking to rain. It made her already aching broken ribs and wing ache even more, putting her in a foul mood despite her good rest. She stood up and went underneath a nearby tree to get out of the rain. She then looked to wolferan who was still by the now just smoking fire pit digging in his bag.She looked at him and then looked up at the cloud darkened sky. Although she liked the smell and sounds of rain she rather liked them when she wasn't wet. It seemed like Wolferan wasn'

Wolferan sighed silently looking at Leanunya who had refused to talk since that disaster during yesterday's lunch. He had managed to gain some of her trust and got her to talk fairly freely but now she wouldn’t even reply to him. He had no idea how to salvage this. He had pushed too far in his questioning and instead of answers he got nothing but silence. He had tried several ways to get her to talk but to no avail. He had seemed to cross a line of hers but what that line was he had no clue. This left him stewing in his own frustration and confusion. He didn’t know though as she seemed determined to stay silent. He had let her rest an hour after that disaster before he carried her continuing to fly on their

Leanunya noticed the lady who stood next to her and after a few moments looked up at her. She recognized her from one of the staff in the kitchen and flicked her tail irritably. She paused wondering why she was here and asked.“Do you need something?” Jessie spoke, “yes, my name is Jessie the head chef in the kitchen. I was hoping to get your likes and dislikes on food so we can better cook for you.” Leanunya blinked, “Why?”Jessie smiled softly, “we want to be able to better accommodate you while you are staying here. If we know what foods you like and dislike we can better prepare foods to your liking.”Leanunya nodded softly. She looked down in thought wondering how to answer. She didn’t really dislike any kind of food. She had some foods she liked

Leanunya looked out the window and saw Wolferan leave and huffed softly, swishing her tail thinking; ‘good riddance’. She turned away from the window in her room and looked to her bed and the soft blankets on it. A servant had brought her several last night and slept with them. She really liked soft things but didn’t think Wolferan would have found out but with what the servant said last night he had found out. Although this wasn’t too bad she still didn’t like the fact he knew. She didn’t like him, period. He was always stepping on her tail and there was only so much patience she had with that. If not for the fact he was stronger than her she would have already made a move to hurt him. This was also the r

Wolferan sighed thinking on the matter a while more before giving up until he talked to the witness. Since it was just past noon he figured he would wait until tomorrow to leave. It would also give his servants some time to get everything ready for him and to be prepared to deal with leanunya alone. He looked around the room and noticed a servant walk over telling him lunch was ready. He nodded and stood going to put the reports on Leanunya up in his study. He put the reports up before going to the dining room.He entered the dining room and sat at the head of the table where he normally sat. He looked at the food prepared and nodded softly. The kitchen had made some lamb chops with some green beans and potatoes. It not only smelled good it also looked good and made his stomachs grumble in anticipa

Leanunya sat at the table with Wolferan to eat lunch. It was simple but good. It was mainly some sliced meat, bread and cheeses with some olives to eat but was quite filling. She soon ate her fill and excused herself from the table before walking off still holding the book she had been reading in the library. She walked around and found a couch to sit down on to continue reading the book she had in her hands. She sat down on the brown couch positioning herself so her wings wouldn’t get crushed behind her and cause her pain. She then noticed a throw blanket on the back of the couch. She flicked her tail before reaching out and touched it. It was soft under her touch and slightly smiled before pulling it down into her lap relaxing a bit.She glanced around and not seeing anyone smiled snuggling into the soft blanket face first like a little kid. she r
