Iris was left on the floor sobbing a little. Even her tears started getting dried up after such humiliation and torture. What she still couldn't digest was the man's budding hatred towards her.

Dimitrios left her locked inside the room and walked towards his study. Grabbing his suit he made his way out of the room for his office.

"Boss......" Igor's voice made him stop when he was about to take the car key from his butler.

"You want to spend your little fairytale time with her?"

Hissing through his voice he gritted his teeth to speak something that humiliated Igor enough.

"Boss... I wanted to say that Eastern Region needs our presence today. I have already kept the file ready. Dan wants some confirmation of the shipment."

Looking at Igor's facial expressions Dimitrios understood how badly he mocked his most capable man. Of course, he hated Igor's increasing soft corner towards Iris because she was his to mold or destr

The entire day Iris was kept inside the room locked. The opportunity she got only when the maid came for the last time to give her dinner. Since morning she wasn't fed at all. Grabbing the chance she sneaked out of the room and hid behind a pillar at a distant corner. If she would have known that the monster's room was on the same floor, she would have never tried to run away. Her escape plan failed but her attempt made Dimitrios angry ten times. Someone was creating nuisance below his nose wasn't accepted at all. He was already frustrated and Dan's betrayal made his mood sour. Reaching his mansion when he found that Iris was also going beyond his expected level, he couldn't control himself."Why are you shouting now? Are you scared now?" Dimitrios asked through his gritted teeth dragging her body harshly by her arms. His bruising grip on her wrists turned her pale white skin into red already."Come on... I forgot that you are not afraid

"Igor, come to my room. You need to clean a mess."Dimitrios cut the call immediately after stating his need. He was watching the tiny figure lying there on the white rug with messy hair and a tear-stained face.It took five minutes for Igor to come jogging into his room with an anxious face. Till now nobody had dared to sneak into Dimitrios's bedroom. If he had called him for cleaning a mess then for sure he had killed somebody and the body was supposed to be disposed of. In such a high secured mansion no one can sneak in until an insider is helping the outsider. And if the person had already reached Dimitrios's bedroom, that means he was already familiar with the mansion. Or he was already living inside under disguise. But who? Igor couldn't decipher the meaning behind his sudden need to clean the mess. With enough questions in his mind, he knocked on his door and got an immediate response. The moment he stepped inside his blood

  • Assassin's Daughter   Chapter 16

IrisI didn't know how to explain my miserable life. The man who made it clear that I have to be just a maid didn't bother to treat me well. I was dumb too. I expected a ruthless mafia to care for someone who got the courage to kill him.I was cleaning the utensils in the kitchen when such thoughts crossed my mind. My parents treated me like a princess and here I became just a maid. A few days back when he declared my future in his house, I thought I might be able to escape the hell hole soon. The increasing security stuff and my restricted movements made it clear that I might have to spend my life being an illiterate maid in Bratva's mansion."Girl, what are you thinking? Let me help you." Maria came forward to help with dishes which I politely declined. She was appointed by Dimitrios to teach me the household works. I won't deny that Maria was sober and patient with me. I barely did any household job in past. Even though we weren't super-rich

Iris One last look at Dimitrios made me think about how to kill that person. He was merciless and above all, he was a monster. I had never seen such toxic people who enjoyed watching someone in pain. He was ten years older than me but I was sure he had never learned how to be good with people. Closing my eyes and thinking about my father, I started running as fast as I could. He said my timing should be impressive and he didn't mention the threshold. For a moment I panicked but later I realized that I couldn't quit without trying. Just after the first round, I found myself out of breath because never in my life had I run so much. I might have played volleyball and badminton but never too seriously. On the third lap, I realized that my feet were severely aching because of the shoes. It was not at all a running shoe and the insole was making it tough for me to run. It two seconds for me to make a decision. I glanced at Dimitrios and Igor. As soon as my eyes met D

Iris stirred in her sleep when she felt a soothing pat on her head. It was so constant that she relaxed her body more. When a hand caressed her cheeks, she couldn't help but push herself more in the palm greedily. Involuntarily her actions made the man chuckle a little."Such a kid..." A whisper only came out from his mouth.Retreating his hand he went back to his previous position that was standing. Due to the sudden loss of warmth and caress her eyebrows knitted together. Even in her deep slumber, all she could feel was the missing of those touches.Watching her sleeping intently he reached the foot of the bed and sat just inches away from her petite on the bed. Throwing his hand under the blanket he grabbed her first leg and pulled out a little to examine. The calf muscles were stiffened badly and the skin of her feet was already scraped.Putting some gentle pressure on her leg he started pressing the exact nerves to make her muscles

Walking upstairs the first thing Dimitrios did was get rid of his suit jacket and tie. Rolling his sleeves up to elbow he walked inside his washroom to splash some water on his face to reduce the heat that utterly generated hearing the nonsense from Maria. Once he understood that a little of his temper came down he pushed the door open and came out of the room. Walking with measured steps he reached the other end of the corridor and stood in front of Iris's room. Twice he knocked on the door frame out of courtesy but heard no response. Frustrated with the result he pushed the door open to have a better look at the situation. The lights were dimmed inside the room but her silhouette was visible enough for him to understand. She was sprawled on the bed like dead fish and completely lost in her deep slumber. "How much she could sleep?" He scoffed but later remembered his last conversation with Maria. She was having a high fever and the doctor w

Iris came down to the dining hall at the usual time. One week had passed since she gained her strength back and started working and living normally. Even though there was a hazy memory of her being in someone's arm or getting a bit care, she couldn't remember who had exactly helped her in past. A part of her mind was confident enough to accept Igor as her savior. But the strange feeling of seeing Dimitrios didn't leave her brain too. His stoic expression and harsh words never did some good to her and she was in no place to ask if he was actually there during her miserable days. "Lost in thoughts?" Maria's approach and words grabbed Iris's attention while she was helping her in the kitchen. "Not exactly. I was just thinking......" Before Iris could finish speaking one of the staff came inside the kitchen to look for her. "Maria, the boss has asked for his new prisoner." Iris watched the smug plastered on the man's face and walke

"Breath....... Deep Breath...... And More Deep Breath......" Iris told herself while walking out of the principal's office. There was an attorney and a man present in the Principal's room who was discussing her. Dimitrios made it very clear that she would be allowed in the middle of the semester to continue her study. But the fact of being watched or tracked every time was added as a bonus. Even though she was introduced as a relative of some unknown powerful businessman who preferred to let her study in one of the renowned schools, the reality didn't change a little. Iris didn't know how they would keep on tracking her but with the way Dimitrios had threatened her, she understood how hard it would be for her to escape this web of lies and complications. "Breath....." Iris scolded herself again remembering how those men sent by Dimitrios made it clear to the principal to keep an eye on her. Upon imagining all sorts of techniques to flee away

"What have you decided then?" Igor pulled the chair close to him before sitting in front of Dimitrios's desk. "Nothing much." His reply was cold and his attention was fixed on something kept on the other side of the table."Still having that?" Igor followed his gaze and grabbed a look at the photo frame. It was the only picture where Iris was standing in front of Dimitrios while looking at him with a questionable expression. In those four years only once Igor got the courage to take a snap of them together. When Dimitrios found out about the incident later, he framed it and kept it somewhere in his office. He didn't know that when Maria kept it accidentally on his desk while cleaning the old kinds of stuff. "Not a use anymore." He turned the frame down and brought out another cigar to smoke."I see." Igor let out a long sigh watching the man getting old more than expected. There was always an age gap issue between Iris and Dimitrios but since she had left, it looked like Dimitrios's

"Happy Birthday Iris...... Finally, you are an adult." Maria spoke bringing out a box of chocolates for Iris in the morning. "Thank you, Maria...." Iris jumped out of her bed and hugged Maria putting a kiss on her cheeks. "Now, get ready and come down for breakfast." She insisted on making her fast in her actions. "Well well, I will be. Where is Dimitri? Your great boss." Iris taunted her while grabbing her dress to disappear into the washroom. "He is waiting downstairs at the breakfast table," Maria replied making her bed neat and clean. "I will be coming down in ten, Maria." She shouted back from the washroom. Iris stood in front of the large mirror and watched herself carefully. She grew up quite fast. From where those four years passed she didn't remember. She turned eighteen today and all she could see was a reflection of a tall beautiful young woman in the mirror. "Dimitri...." She rolled out his name while opening the tap to splash some water on her face. Unknowingly a sm

Iris slid through the tiniest gap that she made while opening the main door at the entrance. Holding her precious shoes in her hand she walked with the paws of a cat. Taking a sharp breath she made her way to the staircase to reach her room as fast as she could. The moment her feet touched the first step, the big chandelier illuminated just above her head and those shoes dropped from her hand to the ground making her curse under her breath. "Shit...." She whispered but didn't get the courage to turn her face to have a glance at the danger standing there. "I didn't know my house has become a paid hotel now." The voice was clear and she didn't even need to be in her senses to realize who was the owner of it.Turning her body towards the fear of her life she stood like a deer caught in a headlight. "Nice dress." Dimitrios chuckled watching her standing in a black slim fit dress that was ending just above her knees. "Dimitri... I...." Iris opened her mouth to protest when she realize

Maria entered the room and watched Iris carefully. When she turned her face to Dimitrios, he was already walking out of the room. "Sir, what had happened with her?" Accumulating some of her courage she dared to ask the man about Iris. "Ask her. I think she owes you an explanation tomorrow." Annoyance was clear in his voice. Maria didn't drag the matter on longer. She changed Iris's dress and washed off the makeup she was wearing. In between all such movements, Iris only knitted her eyebrows a few times and went back to sleep again."Sir...." Maria called Dimitrios once she was done with Iris and stood at the corner of the room. "Are you done?" Dimitrios asked stepping inside his room. Watching Iris in a comfortable night suit he nodded at Maria and told her to leave. After what happened in the car a part of him was not at all ready to let her sleep in his room. On the other hand, he was fighting with his budding emotions to keep her for the night. With the turmoil of his emotions, h

"Is she drunk?""I swear sir no. We were dancing and then we both came to have some mocktails. I guess she took the wrong glass as a few boys were ordering also at the same time." Robin had no intention to take advantage of Iris. At least when he was indirectly threatened by Dimitrios's men. "I doubt so boy..." Dimitrios spoke watching Iris carefully and her whole body. His eyes were searching for any sort of sign that could prove that she was assaulted. "I swear sir, she was constantly with me except two times. And that was the time I think this drinking issue happened. I took her out in the open air, the moment I realized she wasn't feeling comfortable and waited for you to come.""Dimitri....we already came late to pick her up. Let the boy go. He is speaking the truth." Igor interfered in the middle before Dimitrios could snap his neck in a second. The way he was getting hyper, there was a high chance of the young boy dying in his hand just because of offering Iris a dance."You a

"Prom?" Iris whispered the word to herself. Never in her dreams had she thought of Dimitrios accepting such things. Snapping her head towards him, she gave him a questioning glare before asking something."Are you trying to make fun of my situation?""If you think in such a way I can't do anything." Dimitrios shifted his gaze from her face to the other side of the window. The busy road had ended and they were heading in the direction of Iris's school. "But ... I... " She stopped herself from making an embarrassing statement. She couldn't just let him know that she had no confirmed partner. Gulping down the little fear she sat straight while fidgeting with her fingers. After twenty minutes of drive, they reached their destination. But no one decided to come down from the car for a good five minutes. "Don't you want to go inside?" Dimitrios was the first person to break the monotony of the silence. "Yes......" "Good... Now give me your hand first." Dimitrios ordered and Iris followe

"So how are you doing young lady..." Igor pulled the chair near Iris's desk to sit. "As you see. Closed in a room." She showed annoyance and Maria came forward to pat her head. "It's ok. We can still try asking him for one more time." "What you are planning to ask and whom?" Not knowing the whole story Igor asked when Iris finally turned her focus completely on him. "Who else. Of course your great Bratva....." She chewed her last words. "And what exactly he did do now?" Igor placed his hands below his chin and asked her making an innocent face. "There was a small program in my school. More like a prom you know...... " A glimpse of happiness flashed upon her face while she was speaking about the event. "And then?" Igor asked to know more. "Dimitri isn't allowing me to step out after 6:00 p.m. Do you think I'm his dog that he would always keep the lash in his hand." She became hyper this time. "Iris... Please... It's not like that..." Igor felt bad when she dragged the compariso

"Nice..... You have learned well....." "Is it so?""Yeah... obviously...." Jim spoke with equal excitement just as Iris. As they were training together the door of the section burst open revealing a large figure in front of another one. "Bratva...." It didn't take long for Jim to recognize Dimitrios standing there with bloodshot eyes and Igor with the same annoying expression. "Jim, send her back. I need the boxing ring for myself." "Sure Bratva..." Nodding his head in affirmation he walked towards the end of the ring and called out his subordinate to instruct him something. "Iris... We would continue tomorrow." He turned towards Bratva and nodded his head. He knew the meaning of asking for the boxing ring for Bratva himself. There comes a few moments when Bratva decided to vent out his anger or teach the traitor some lesson. And fighting is something that he enjoys the most. The painful scream, and blood spitting out of those traitors' mouths and bodies always gave him a differen

"Have you really gone mad?" Dimitrios was lying on the couch when Igor entered with a mouthful of annoying words. "Not now Igor. I'm tired." Dimitrios raised his hand to dismiss him but Igor remained strict in his position. "I don't care. I don't care if you are tired or not. I am asking you once again. What made you take her down to Derek?" He plopped on the couch beside Dimitrios and made his face turn 180 degrees to answer him. "She needs to get over that." "How? By killing that bastard with her own hand? That too at the age of sixteen?" Igor panted after shouting at the top of his lungs. "She didn't kill. We did that." Dimitrios replied keeping a straight face. "Oh... Congratulations... Were you waiting for her to kill Derek?" "Igor, you are crossing your line now." "And you have crossed that line already that day you decided to keep her in your house." Saying so Igor rose to his
