Selena's POV

I've managed to successfully avoid Cecelia, Asher and most importantly, Axel for the past few days without a single hitch. But when Axel decided to show up in my room while I slept, now that made me freak out a tad bit.

After he left, I did feel guilty by my cold demeanor but not by a lot. Axel deserves it. Besides, I had every justification to be mad at him when he made me kiss him like that knowing I was his brother's fiancée.

Deep, deep down, I knew we were both to blame equally but for the sake of my anger, I'd pin it all on him.

After slamming the door in his face, I didn't hear his receding footsteps until after not less than twenty minutes. He was having a conversation with someone on the other end of the door but I couldn't make out the voice, nor could I narrow it down to whether it was a lady or a man.
