“ Hello Mrs. Morgeto!! “ I said as soon as she picked up the call.

“ Good evening Sir.” Came her amusement laced reply.

“ It seems like you already know my intention of calling you.” I asked, heading out of my office.

“ Not at all Sir. I can never guess that you want me to take another leave because you want to make dinner for your lovely wife with your own hands.” She said in the utmost serious tone.

“ I thought so.” I matched her sarcasm before disconnecting the call and sitting in my car before hitting the road.

When I reached the penthouse, It was past five in the evening and the darkness inside was telling me that Jennifer still hadn't returned.

I tried to push away the disturbing thoughts and headed to my room to get washed up before coming back to the kitchen and started making the dinner.

I was done in an hour and Jennifer wasn't back yet. Sensing it unusual, I pulled out my phone to call Morris but he called me himself.

With a frown, I answered the call.

“
