Just then the footsteps fade in and my giggles died down as Christian stood in the entrance of the kitchen with his coat jacket hanging on his forearm.

His eyes directly stopped on me, making me forget to breathe for a moment. It took me some seconds to contain myself. Pressing my lips into a thin angry line to make it very visible that I'm still angry with him, I looked away.

From the corner of my eye, I caught him smirking before exiting the kitchen.
