BIANCA’S POV

“I don’t understand,” I grimaced in confusion. “Why would your friend kick you out?”

If she ran to her friend after such an incident, it shows she trusted her and they have known each other for a long time. I didn’t see any reason to kick her out unless she did something to deserve it.

She glanced at me, blinking severally to hold back her tears. She folded her lips back and kept a sad face as she was about to explain what happened to me. I leaned forward, eager to listen attentively, my hands resting on the table.

“Everything was going well until she began treating me like I was a problem. A huge burden. It was probably because I wasn’t contributing to the expenses in the house. But I told her I needed some time to recover from…the shock before I could get on with my life and find a job to help her out. It got worse after her boyfriend lost his job. He couldn’t pay his house rent and had to move in with us.”
