"Anyway, girl, we gotta go for that General Biology class. I don't want to be late." Elizabeth stood up and started packing her bag all of a sudden.
I arched an eyebrow at her. "Late? We still have like... Ten minutes left." I protested. She ignored my remark and simply blurted. "Ten minutes which I don't want to spend gossiping about your mysterious new crush. Come on, let's go." My face heated up with a blush. Rude! I got up when it was obvious that Elizabeth would leave me behind without looking back. I followed grumpily beside her as I finally let myself stop thinking about Sylvain. . . General biology class proved to be longer than I expected. I sat beside Elizabeth in the large hall and occasionally glanced around. Orion was missing. After the class was over I stood up and voiced my concern to Elizabeth. "Orion didn't attend General Biology lectures today," I muttered as Liz jotted down something in a notebook. She raised her head to glance at me for merely a few seconds before shrugging. "I mean, he's a senior after all. Maybe he got caught up with a more important lecture." I wasn't convinced. "But he should've called at least, right?" Elizabeth sighed before closing the book she was writing on. She turned her full attention to me now and looked at me curiously. "Why don't we go look for him then?" She paused, looking around to see if anyone was listening to our conversation before whispering. "I've been perfecting that tracking spell and I'm sure I could easily use it to track down a werewolf now." I smirked. That was the perks of having a witch as your best friend. That's right, Elizabeth was a witch. It hadn't taken me long to figure it out since she was the one who brought up talks about the supernatural when we first met. "Alright then, let's go mate hunting." I clapped playfully, causing Elizabeth to roll her eyes before we both giggled to ourselves. We got up and navigated our way through the crowd of students of different races who still lingered in the lecture hall. When we got to the hallway outside, Elizabeth stretched her palm toward me. "I need an item of his for the spell to work." She stated simply. I nodded and soon after, I brought out a handkerchief belonging to Orion that I had... 'borrowed' in case something like this ever happened. But mostly because I loved the lingering smell of his cologne on it. Anyway, Elizabeth took the handkerchief off my hands and clutched it between her palms. She closed her eyes and muttered a spell that was inaudible to even my enhanced werewolf hearing. After a few seconds, her eyes jolted open and her forehead creased with a frown. "I can sense him. He's in... The basement?" She sounded unsure like there was something else. I blinked awkwardly before asking. "Well? What do you think I should do? Should I go see him?" She scratched her neck with a sigh before responding. "I'm not sure, but try calling him again. If he doesn't pick again, then you can go confront him and see what's up. Hopefully, he didn't pass out or something." I rolled my eyes at the last part of her sentence but brought out my phone anyway. I dialed his number, secretly praying to the moon to make him pick it up. However, it seemed luck wasn't on my side today as he didn't pick it up even after I called him three more times. "Yup, he's not picking." I panicked, my heart rate increasing as I tried desperately to control my breathing. I gulped, fearing the worst had happened to him. What if Elizabeth was right and he was down there in the basement unconscious? What if someone had jumped him and left him there to die? What if– "Girl, relax, jeez!" Elizabeth's voice snapped me out of my thoughts and managed to lessen the growing anxiety inside me. "Trust me, Orion is fine. If he was in trouble I would've felt it with my spell." She sounded proud. I tried to calm myself down as we walked toward the basement. Many students were walking down the hallway to their various classes but here I was, in search of my boyfriend. Ugh, Orion has a lot of explaining to do. Soon, we got to the basement door and glanced around to see if anyone was watching. "Okay, the coast is clear," Elizabeth whispered to me before giving me a thumbs up. "Good luck." I arched an eyebrow. "What? Aren't you gonna follow me in?" I asked with bewilderment. She held her chin like she was thinking about it but then shrugged. "Nah, I think I'll pass. I don't know why, but I can sense some serious drama coming in, and I'd like to be away from it. But tell Orion I said 'hi' though." I sighed. Unbelievable. After turning away from Elizabeth, I held the doorknob and opened it with a click. The staircase leading down to the basement was dark, adding to my unease before I even got in. But after I searched around, I was able to find the light switch and turned on the white fluorescent lights. I ignored the voice at the back of my head nagging at me to head back upstairs. As I walked down the stairs, I was able to pick up a scent. Orion. Curious, I dialed his number again and to my surprise, I heard it ringing somewhere. My brows creased into a frown as I followed the sound of Orion's ringtone. When I got to the end of the stairwell, I walked past the mounds of books and other stuff kept there. The basement was dark and, unfortunately, didn't have any lights like the stairwell. However, I had my wolf eyesight to rely on. Suddenly, I came to a halt when I picked up a sound. It was moaning. Even though it was stifled, I could still pick up the pleasured moans of a girl. I would've just assumed that a couple was down here having 'fun' before classes, but something was off. What was Orion doing here...? ‘Isn't it obvious?' to my surprise, my Nightshade wolf spoke to me for the first time. She actually talked! I was about to ask her what she meant when my mouth opened wide in shock. Right there against the wall was Orion, pants down exposing his dark butt as he pounded pleasure into a girl. I was left in a daze. This had to be a dream…With each thrust Orion made into the girl, I felt my chest tighten more and more. The two idiots were so lost in their sinful moment that they didn't even notice my presence. The disgusting smell of their pheromones filled the air, only adding to my sorrows. But soon, that sorrow morphed into rage. "Orion!" I screamed as I waltzed toward them. The two of them jolted just then and tried adjusting their clothing, but it was too late for them anyway. I grabbed the broken leg of a wooden table and charged at Orion and the bitch he was screwing. Meanwhile, my incompetent mate waved his hand in front of his face. "A–Aria, let me explain. I... I didn't –""Save it for your mother, you sick bastard!" I screeched before raising the stick. With a swift swing, I broke the table leg on his butt, causing him to yelp in pain. But I ignored that before turning my gaze to the girl. She wore a short dress and had blonde hair that looked like it was natural. Everyone knew her. "Cassandra!" I gri
SYLVAIN***"New Orleans?" I repeated after raising my eyes away from the letter Ravenna, my confidant and only friend, dropped on the table. We were seated in a dimly lit room, which was also my office and meeting room. Ravenna, who had long, straight black hair, snow-white skin, and lips redder than blood, placed her palms on the table from across the other chair where she sat. She wore a black tight dress that emphasized her curves and reached her knees. "Yes, Lord Darius has a deal to seal with the resident werewolf Alpha there," Ravenna spoke in a silvery tone before smirking. "Come on, Sylvain. It's been a while since we went home. I miss New Orleans and we can't ignore Lord Darius's orders now, can we?"I sighed, resting my back on the chair I sat on. For decades I and Ravenna had been exploring the world, keeping our distance away from New Orleans and the clan. Most resident vampires of the New Orleans clan made it a habit to move from town to town or city to city once eve
Monday came faster than I'd anticipated. And with it meant the first day of school. When I stepped foot into the campus, I was hit with the nauseous stench of werewolves and the delicious scent of humans and witches. It's been a while since I fed. Seeing all these youths—full of life and vitality—gathered around made my cravings spike up. Perhaps I'll find a human to snack on without killing them later. I looked around aimlessly until I had no choice but to ask a human girl for directions. "Excuse me, miss?" I spoke with the kindest voice I could muster, wearing a smile. The girl was sitting alone on a bench and turned her gaze to me. However, her eyes softened and she soon had the same look that I saw in most human girls and even some guys whenever I spoke to them. Desire..."Uh... Hi. I'm... I'm... How may I help you?" She stuttered, her face reddening as she fixed her gaze on my eyes. I smirked, deciding to have a little fun by teasing her. "Sorry to disturb you, dear. I was
ARIA *** Was this some kind of joke? Sylvain, the mysterious new guy from school, was the one who stepped down from the car. He wore a black jacket over a black T-shirt and black jean pants. He had a necklace on his neck shaped like a crescent moon, which I hadn't noticed the first time we met. "Don't you know you have to be more careful when walking on the road?" He suddenly asked, snapping me out of my trance. I blinked awkwardly before turning my gaze to his eyes. He looked at me with an odd mix of amusement and curiosity. My face heated up with embarrassment but I still managed to speak up. "And don't you know speeding on the road can get you in prison?" Sylvain arched an eyebrow and scoffed as he stepped closer to me. I wanted to step back, I wanted to turn away and run the heck out of there because of the growing embarrassment I felt. But I didn't. Instead, I stood there like a statue as Sylvain finally got to me. He stood tall, gazing down at me with an expressio
I couldn't read the look in Orion's eyes but it wasn't warm. His gaze trailed my body possessively, making me even more sick in my stomach. "Let go of me, you cheat!" I snapped, yanking my wrist away from his grip. I growled, shining my teeth at him. If he doesn't get out of my way soon, they will become fangs, and I will use them. I didn't care if he was the Alpha's son or even the fucking president's son. However, my Alpha wolf whimpered inside me, trying to get me to calm down. 'Just hear him out.' she muttered softly, causing me to roll my eyes. She could speak to me but her voice wasn't very active in my head... Thank goodness. I couldn't imagine how other werewolves could manage to talk to their wolves like they were other personalities or something. Anyway, my eyes remained staring at Orion, my jaw clenching when he still held on to my wrist. But eventually, he loosened his grip, allowing me to easily slip my arm out of his. He scrunched his nose with an annoyed groan.
"The New Orleans vampire clan is gracing us with their presence." My father repeated before asking with an amused tone. "Hmm... What's the occasion?"Alpha Michael replied with a chuckle. "You'll find out once they arrive. But don't worry, the resident vampires of this city all abide by strict rules and don't mind mingling with other races."At that moment, I couldn't help thinking about Sylvain. If the guy truly was a vampire then could he possibly be attending this meeting? Crap, what could I possibly wear? What if I say or do something embarrassing or...?Hold up, why do I care so much? The mate bond! It had to be the stupid and confusing pull that I felt toward Sylvain. I knew the feeling of a mate bond all too well because I'd experienced it when I first met Orion. I couldn't be wrong but at the same time, I needed to be sure. Just then, a cough from Dad snapped me out of my thoughts. "Well, if you'll excuse me, I'll be immersing myself in your study room."Alpha Michael shook
I searched through the book but found nothing about having five inner wolves. Not even about having Two wolves. "I guess Dad was right about me being 'special.’" I muttered. Seeing as there was nothing else to find here and no other book I searched through had any information on my five-wolf nature, I sighed before searching for Dad. I found him sitting calmly on a chair on the small balcony of the study room, which had a high rail and a huge telescope pointed at the skies. He had his attention on a book and didn't notice me coming in until I coughed. He turned to face me with an arched eyebrow. "Oh, you're done already? Did you find what you were looking for?"I nodded lazily before yawning. "Gosh, I gotta go catch a quick nap. And also find what to wear before the arrival of those vampires." My tone ended up being more nervous than I Intended it to be at the end. My father placed a bookmark in his book, closed it, and then proceeded to focus fully on me. "Are you scared of meet
For some reason, seeing how close this mysterious new woman clung to Sylvain made my blood boil. Gods dammit, it wasn't just 'some reason '. It was the mate bond! How could Sylvain be so close to another woman when our mate bond existed? My grip on the railing of the stairs, which I currently stood on, tightened as I glared daggers at the pair. "Should I go confront them?" I muttered to myself while stealing glances once in a while from the corner of my eyes. However, a voice whispered into my ears just then. "Confront who?"I jolted in fright as I swerved back to see who it was. But to my disappointment, it was Orion, standing behind me with a cheesy grin. My brows creased as I grabbed his arm and pulled him to the side. "Do you want to cause a scene? What part of 'it's over' did you not understand?" I whispered while my gaze scanned through the hall nervously. Luckily I'd chosen to stand upstairs where I could get a better view of everyone. Just then, the music died down as Al
