Chapter 96 - The Gala

I hold onto the railing as I walk down the staircase, scared shitless of tripping and tumbling down because of these heels. My three men stand at the bottom, gazing up at me as I descend. They are gawking because all three mouths are hanging open, and it looks as though they are frozen in place.

Knox is the first to come out of his trance, and he gives a slow whistle, causing the other two to break out of theirs as well. My heart is beating a mile a minute as I make my way down to them. Knox is the one that steps forward and holds his hand out for me to take once I get to the bottom.
