Chapter 80 - Famished

I go straight to my mother’s room to visit her for a little while, wanting to give her the good news. Taking her hand, as I sit beside her, I smile, “I can’t wait for you to come back to me, mama! Knox said that you moved your fingers and the doctor confirmed that it was a good sign.” I study my mother. She’s still a pretty woman, even after being in a coma for all this time. If and when she comes out of it, I will never take her for granted.

Being here with my mother gets me thinking of other things as well. What if Moretti attacks the house? Is my mother safe here or would she be better in a hospital or private institution for now? Would Moretti use her against me if he were to find her somewhere else? The more I think about it, the more I want to pay him a visit, but again, is that even the right choice?

The guys have been protecting me for a reason; I know Moretti is a very bad guy; who's to say he won’t hold me against my will if I go to him? So many what ifs; I just don’t know
