Chapter 37 - Uncle

Spending the entire day with Knox has been so amazing. Aside from the little bit of time where he had to get some work done, we pretty much just lazed around, watching movies, or catching each other up on our lives. I know Knox is still keeping a few things from me, like the reason why he wouldn’t contact me and a few things that have to do with their business. I’m hoping one day, he will trust me enough to tell me, but for now, I’ll let it slide. Me, I’m an open book, I leave out nothing about my life after he left.

When I talk about the reasoning behind why my mom and I ended up how we did, he becomes furious. He remembers my father well and even he knows that there was no way that he killed himself. He was still around when my father had his accident, but he wasn’t aware of the insurance company not paying out. He promises me that he is going to look into it, but I argue with him not to. Of course, he’s stubborn and will do it anyway.
