The Sea of Sirens

Creed never planned to stay still after what had happened in the Bittersweet Confectionery. He was denied a chance. That day was a grim reminder of the fact that the world he lives in is biased. He lives in a society where status and prestige have overshadowed emancipation and equality, whereas minor conveniences were denied based on imperfect labels.

It was not the humiliation that made such a tremendous impact on him; it was his own ignorance. In fact, the humiliation they faced that day was the least of his concerns. He realized that his strength amounted to absolutely nothing against someone who has a status above that his own. 

If Creed was still a loser like he was a year ago, he would not have dared to ponder over these imperfections embedded within society. If he was still weak, he would have had no choice but to blindly follow things as they were.
