Chapter Thirty-eight

Luka's POV

“Why the hell will you push her like that?” my wolf yelled at me after I slammed the door shut behind me.

“Shut the hell up! just shut up” I yelled pressing my hands against my ears as if it would make him stop talking. He snarleable d but I was too angry to care. “You don’t know how hard it is to keep myself together without her.”

It hadn't been easy. Ever since she left- died, I couldn't imagine how a world without her in it could be anything other than bleak and lonely. I never told anyone this but when you love someone so fiercely there's nothing left of what you once were before them. It all becomes your whole existence.

I missed Portia.

“She was never yours to begin with,” my Wolf countered.

“Damn you!”

“We have a mate, we should be focused on her” he growled.

“All I want is Portia. Why can't you understand that?” I yelled.
