The morning after I cried my dragon’s lament, I wake to Cyrene rubbing her little hand on my face.“Calgon, wake up. Eliane’s questions to me answered mine about her feelings for me. She doesn’t feel the mate bond for me like a dragon does. That’s okay. Once again, I jerk awake from dreams of being attacked.
