Chapter 69

No one said anything, Misty was right, Anabel would have to go back and try and convince or distract Victor from doing anything else. She wasn’t sure how she was going to it, but she knew she could. She would have to be smarter than Victor, and she would have to try and get him to allow her to use her magic against him.

“I just don’t think Victor is going to let me back there, he’s going to know something is up.” Anabel said shaking her head. “I am not sure if he allowed me to leave just to see where I would go, or if he knew I got away.” She said looking down at her symbols. “These are getting darker again, so whatever he has been doing, it’s been working.”

“We still have to get into his lair again, and right now you can.” Misty said shaking her head. “I know you are going to start feeling pain again if he starts anything else. You are going to go through what you went through with Hecta, only it’s going to kill you.”

“I know Misty.” Anabel said looking away from her. “I know they ar
