"Wh… what do you mean?" Sarah asked in an uneven tone. She was taken aback by the blankness in Elijah's tone. Her innocent questions seemed to trigger something inside him and he let out a frustrated sigh and ran his fingers through his hair.
Sarah suddenly remembered that day's event when they went on the date and he suddenly became somebody else. She got scared somewhat thinking he is going to react the same way today too. She went completely silent and looked down while taking a step away from him.
Elijah noticed all her actions and also read the fear in her eyes and felt more frustrated toward himself. He took some deep breaths to calm himself down but he couldn't but at that moment all he could do was change his expression back to normal. He took a step toward her. Good thing he didn't flinch away from her.
He calmly got a hold of her upper arms and pulled her closer to him. Then he proceeded

"Jordan, can you calm down and tell me what happened? Why are you so angry?" Helena asked her youngest grandson who was pacing around angrily, not listening to her any words. "I can't calm down, grandma! I can't calm down! It's getting on my nerves. I can't bear it anymore." Jordan exclaimed as he stopped, paced around and sat on the chair in front of Helena. They were in Helena's office room, her safest place where no one can enter without her permission and is heavily guarded from outside. There is no way possible that anything will go outside this room. "You can't bear what anymore, Jordan?" She tried to ask him once again and this time he decided to answer. "Sarah." He voiced out the name with so much venom and hatred, if anyone other than Helena was present there, they would have pinched themselves to see if they weren't dreaming. I can't bear her anymore, grandma. "I c
A boy around the age of eight was running as fast as his small legs could. He wasn't even looking back and was running with all the dedication and passion in the world while chanting only one thing in his mind. 'I have to survive. I will not let them destroy me. I have to survive to take revenge. I will take revenge for everything that is taken away from me. I will return and take my revenge.' The more he reminds himself of those words, the faster his legs work in the dark night. He was running through the jungle, cutting himself with the fallen branches here and there but he didn't care. He soon noticed the road and a smile came up on his face. He was now at the other side of the city, far enough from that burning fire. Now he is safe or he thought so. Soon a blaring sound came from his left and a blinding light came from the car which was approaching him at full speed. And within a few seconds….
"Hey, what are you doing?" Sarah asked as soon as he picked up the phone. "I... Uhh... Running around for job interviews." Elijah answered in an uncertain voice which she thought because he was embarrassed hence she didn't ask about it more. "Don't stress over it much, Elijah. It will be alright. You will definitely find something. Take care of yourself." She said in a caring tone. "I will, dearest." He replied in a happy tone. "Good. Have you had your lunch?" Sarah asked while looking at the table clock which was showing it was lunch time. "No, I didn't but from that I remember. I have sent lunch for you. Did you get it yet?" He asked, making her feel warm. "You did? No, I didn't get it yet. It must be on the way." She said with a shrug while looking outside the glass window to see if anyone's coming with the food co
"That was so good, Sarah! I can't believe you were keeping this heaven away from me all these days! Now, after having it, I definitely can't guarantee you if it's going to be the last time." Mary said while relishing the memory of the heavenly food in her mind. "In your dream." Sarah said with a smirk before taking a gulp of water. "No, seriously. He is such a good cook. Where did he learn to cook like this? Is he a professional cook?" Jonah asked while appreciating the food cooked by Elijah truthfully. Sarah was confused after hearing his question. How strange! Why did this question never come to her mind? These questions were really basic yet important. She doesn't know how he learnt to cook so deliciously. She doesn't know if he is a professional cook or not but he could definitely be a professional cook! That's such a great idea. Why didn't it come to her mind befo
"Hello, business partner." King's arrogance filled voice came in her ear, immediately making her frustration go up to another level. "Don't call me that and why did you call me?" She asked in an irritation filled tone. "Someone is frustrated, I see. What's the reason? Is it the relationship we are going to share from now on?" He asked and she could easily read out the tease in his tone. "What new relationship? There's no relationship between us." She stated harshly while looking at the file's content in anger and reading it silently so that she doesn't sound stupid if they have a conversation regarding it now. "We surely do share a relationship, Miss Sarah. At first we were business clients and now we have become business partners. Things between us are progressing very fast. Who knows what relation we share next? Hope it's not something our partners will mind." He sai
IN WATSON MANSION "What did you find out, Mr Roy?" Helena asked eagerly as soon as Mr Roy, her personal lawyer, got seated in front of her. "I found a lot of things, Miss Watson." The old man replied in a neutral tone while his facial expressions were similar to his tone. "Good. Are they beneficial for me or not?" She asked the question one which everything depended on. The lawyer had a thoughtful look on his face. He seemed somewhat worried too which made Helena Watson anxious. "What is the matter, Mr Roy?" She asked with a frown. "The matter is, what I have found in that file that you gave me is way too beneficial for you and that's doubtful." He said with the same thoughtful look. Helena didn't understand anything other than the fact that she is going to benefit from the file. "I didn't understand, Mr Roy. Could you be more clear?" She asked w
AT SARAH'S APARTMENT "Sarah, I think they are here already. Can you please invite them in? I will join you guys soon." Elijah shouted from inside the kitchen. He was busy cooking for the guests. It's the first time someone is coming to their house. No one visited them in the almost three months of their marriage. Not even her parents. So, they both are really excited to invite their first guest. "I got them. Take your time. No need to hurry." Sarah shouted back before running toward the door to open it. It's currently eight in the evening. She came back from the office one and half hours ago. She wanted to come back sooner and help him in preparing everything but she got caught up with back to back meetings. She has informed him long ago about Mary and Jonah joining them. He just said a simple line. "Don't worry, dear. I will handle everything."&
"So, what's going on between you two? Are you dating?" Sarah asked directly to the point, not giving them any chance to escape. Both of their eyes widened at the direct attack and they started to stammer. "Wh... What... Me... And... Huh... Dating... You..." Mary was fumbling with her words and was praying for some miracle to happen which will save her from the embarrassment she is going to face now. It seems like her prayer was heard and the bell rang at the right moment. She let out a sigh of relief but at the next moment she was confused like everyone else in the room. "Did you invite someone else too, Sarah?" Mary asked. "Were we expecting someone else too, Sarah?" Elijah asked at the same time as Mary. Sarah looked at them in confusion and then looked at the time. "No, I didn't invite anyone else nor am I expecting anyone. I don't know
