Ian’s POV

I was so excited to see my daughter! It had only been a week but I missed her terribly, m’inion alainn. I would never tell her that, though. She was exactly where she needed to be and if she thought for one second I was unhappy, she would run home for good. I couldn’t allow that. She wasn’t responsible for my happiness. I would learn to adjust to an empty house. Besides, I could always visit Glass Lake.

A knock on the door had me leaping out of my seat to answer it, thinking Kat had come a bit early to surprise me. I should have known better. If it had been her, she would have walked right in without knocking. The person behind the door did surprise me though.

“Hello, Alpha! To what do I owe this honor?” I greeted him jovially.

“Hi Ian. Sorry to drop by unannounced. I was hoping you had a few minutes to talk,” he replied.

“Of course! I always have time for you!” I told him honestly.

Ugh what Jesse said was terrible and judgy!! Yeahbhe was jealous but it’s not his place to judge her! He had no right to, no e of his business and there’s nothing wrong with having two or more mates!
