Reegan’s POV

“Are you okay brother?” Ryan asked, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. I hadn’t realized I had bent over with my hands on my knees until I saw him leaning over me.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just needed a minute to catch my breath. That was a lot to take in.” I answered, standing up and schooling my features. I couldn’t let my baby brother see me falling apart.

“It’s time to meet Kat for lunch,” he reminded me. “Are you still up for it?”

“Of course! I’m not missing an opportunity to spend time with my baby girl. Let’s go!” I replied, forcing excitement into my voice.

I was excited to see her. I just hoped she wouldn’t sense my anxiety. I wasn’t used to hiding my feelings. If something was on my mind, everyone knew it. But Alma was right. Telling her now with so little information would only cause her to worry. I wouldn’t let her worry.

WTF??? Um, if you mean that they have to contact Ian, then I guess so!! But I specifically remember a certain Elder stating that if she had the mark, they needed to move quickly!! By figuring out her lineage. Because if she wasn't trained, she could hurt herself or others
