Ch. 159 Mating Run

Ryan’s POV

I watched in disbelief as our mate shifted in mid-air. As Alphas, my brother and I could shift more quickly than most wolves but nothing like that. For a moment I was too stupefied to react. I could tell by the lack of movement beside me that Reegan was just as shocked as I was.

“Did you know she could do that?” He asked in awe.

“Absolutely not!” I answered. “Our mate is just full of surprises.”

“And has a pretty good head start!” I heard the rustle of clothing, telling me he was undressing to shift. I quickly did the same, then we both shifted and took off at a dead run.

Now that she was marked, it would be difficult for her to hide from us. Not only could we follow her scent, but being marked gave us an innate sense of awareness of her whereabouts. Still, our wolves loved a good chase, especially when she was the prize.
