A father's love will stop at nothing to help his child, even a bit of manipulation! Thanks for reading!
Ryan's POV I was back to pacing. What was taking so long? Was Ian having that much trouble convincing her not to reject me? Things weren’t looking good. I instinctively looked around for a trash can or something to throw up in because I was starting to feel sick. Teague was giving me a headache, constantly insisting I basically kidnap her. “Go get her!” He kept insisting. “She’s ours! You need to make her come home with us! Cara wants to! She told me so!” Ugh! Just when I thought the suspense would literally kill me, I heard footsteps on the stairs. I whipped around, hoping to see Kat but it wasn’t her scent getting stronger. It was Ian who came into view. Oh no! Did she send him to tell me I would be leaving without her? I was definitely going to throw up! “Well, mo mhac, you better take good care of my daughter for the next two weeks!” He warned, but he had a huge grin on his face. Wait! What? “She really agreed to come home with me?” I asked incredulously. My knees went weak fr
Reegan's POV I was so happy to finally be headed home after one of the longest weeks of my life. The annual Forest Preservation Summit was boring as hell! A bunch of Alphas sitting around discussing ways to ensure the longevity of our wolves’ habitat, although important, could never be described as exciting. She-wolves weren’t invited and I couldn’t even go into town looking for female “company” due to all the evening events we were expected to attend. Between the imposed week-long celibacy and the excess testosterone in the room, we argued more than we collaborated. I’m lucky I didn’t lose my fucking mind! Fortunately, I knew what to expect so I made a point of finding a little bar outside of town before I checked into the hotel. As I drove, I let memories of the curvy little brunette sex kitten I met there play through my mind. “Well, hello handsome! What brings you in tonight?” She asked, batting her eyelashes and leaning her elbows on my table, giving me the perfect view of he
Reegan's POV It wasn’t like I never wanted a long-term relationship. I was sure I had a fated mate out there somewhere. Someone the Moon Goddess chose to compliment me in every way and be the best Luna Glass Lake could ever hope for. I just didn’t know that I was ready to find her and settle down. No one around me seemed to understand my hesitation. “Reegan, I don’t understand why you don’t want to find your mate.” My mother constantly berated me. “Why would you choose all those empty encounters with shallow women when you could have a soulmate who would love you unconditionally and make you a stronger, more effective leader for this pack.” “That’s what I have Ryan for, mom.” I teased her. “The two of us are strong enough without a Luna. Back me up here dad.” “If you want support for your argument, you’re barking up the wrong tree with me. Finding my Luna was the best thing that ever happened to me.” Dad balked, unwilling to risk ending up on mom’s bad side. “Coward!” I accused,
Reegan's POV After my little guilt trip down memory lane, I was anxious to get home and talk to Ryan. If we were going to lead this pack effectively together, it was important for us to be on the same page. I knew my avoidance of him lately had hurt him. As twins, we had always been extremely close. We never let anything come between us for too long. I didn’t want to be the reason that changed now. I really did love my baby bro! “Look at me being all sensitive,” I snorted to myself. As I pulled up in front of the pack house, I was happy to see Ryan’s truck parked out front. I knew he had spent the day at RedWoods finalizing the alliance between our packs and I wasn’t sure he would be home yet. After all, he wasn’t expecting me until tomorrow night so he had no reason to rush back. He is a bit of a homebody though so I should’ve known better. Maybe I could convince him to go grab a drink with me somewhere and we could talk things out. Just because I decided to skip the club scene to
Reegan's POV Ryan poured out the whole story of Katalina’s past and how wary she is of the mate bond because of it. He told me all about her father’s instrumental role in convincing her to even consider giving the mate bond a chance and how easily she could change her mind if we pushed her too fast. I was on an emotional roller coaster, listening to what she’d been through. My heart broke for her thinking about the loss of her mother, and her father’s emotional absence. On the other hand, I couldn’t help but be thankful that Alpha Klein never marked her. If he had, she would be lost to us forever. Yet, it hurt to know she had loved him first and hadn’t wanted to wait for us. That was something I would have to come to terms with. And I wanted to rip his limbs off for touching what was mine! I guess that made me a bit of a hypocrite but I couldn’t help how I felt. While I was trying to process all of this, Rikkon was stomping around in my head, throwing a wolf tantrum and giving me a m
Kat's POV I would do anything for my father, anything to make him happy and give him whatever peace he could find in life. That included leaving my home and coming here to stay with a mate who was a stranger to me and whom I had no intention of accepting. All because he asked me to. But I did not sign up for this! It was bad enough that I let my guard down on the walk home this afternoon. I ended up telling him about some of our family history, which I’m sure sent the wrong message. Why would two people with no future together need to know that about each other? Then to make matters worse, I even flirted with him a little, bantering about his growling at Tyler and flashing him a cheeky smile. What was wrong with me? By the time I finished packing, I had renewed my resolve to keep a safe emotional distance between us. I had meant to keep my walls up on the ride over but I found myself wanting to talk to him. I even let him hold my hand for Goddess’ sake! I knew I should pull away
Kat's POV “MINE!” he growled in my ear as he buried his nose in my hair, inhaling deeply. Time seemed to stand still as I tried desperately to gather my wits. He seemed in no hurry to let me go and I couldn’t find my voice to ask him to. So, I just let him hold me there while I enjoyed the feel of his hard body pressed against me. He felt so good! Too good! When I noticed a certain other part of his body was also hard and pressing against my core, I knew I had to get away from him. Before I could figure out how to wriggle away, Ryan spoke up. “I think what you meant to say was “ours” right brother?” he asked from his spot in the doorway. That seemed to break the spell as the twin whose name I still didn’t know gently set me on my feet and stepped back a fraction of an inch, still not taking his eyes off me. So many thoughts were going through my head. What was this one’s name? And why did they both think I belonged to them? Why hadn’t Ryan told me he was a twin? And why wasn’t I
Ryan's POV Awe-struck! That was the only way to describe what I was feeling as Reegan and I walked hand in hand with our Luna toward the pack dining room. My wolf and I were completely enthralled with her. Not only was she the most beautiful woman we’d ever seen, but she had a grace about her that was difficult to describe in words. The pain of her past could have completely broken her spirit. Yet, she exuded strength and confidence, unafraid to speak her mind. On the ride to Glass Lake, she openly shared her wariness of our bond but she also spoke with patience, questioned with true curiosity, and listened intently to me when I spoke. When Reegan showed up without warning, she was understandably angry at being ambushed and did not hesitate to express that anger. Still, she never acted irrationally out of anger, easily able to admit her own mistake for the misplaced blame she attributed to Reegan. Very few people would have behaved the same in her shoes. I was truly in awe of her!
Thank you so much to all mu lovely readers for sticking with "An Unwanted Fate" until the end. I hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did while writing it! I hope to start publishing Book 2 in the Celtic Wolf serie:: "A Tangled Fate: Bound By Her Betas" within the next week. Sneak peek: “Mate!” My wolf howled. “She’s ours!” “What are you talking about, Callum? She can’t be ours, not yet.” My wolf whimpered and whined in my head, begging me to go to our mate. I felt his pain but I knew I couldn’t give him what he wanted. So I did the only thing I could do. I ran. When Finnick Cross recognizes his mate in 16-year-old Sarah Woods, he is ecstatic to find the girl he loves belongs to him. There is only one problem. She’s too young to recognize him as her mate. Afraid he won’t be able to restrain his wolf from claiming their underage mate, Finnick decides to leave, intending to return and claim her as his on her 18th birthday. But when an unplanned encounter derails his plans, wil
Jesse's POV I’d been locked in this room all night without seeing another soul. I assumed the Glass Lake Alphas knew I was here and why. Their Beta would have told them by now. I’d fully expected them to come storming in here last night, fuming over what I’d done, or tried to do, to their Luna. I would have gotten some small satisfaction from it if they had, knowing I’d at least ruined their perfect night. But they never came. It could have been worse. I could tell this was a room for prisoners by the stark, slate-gray concrete of the walls and lack of amenities. But it wasn’t the dank, rancid-smelling lower cells reserved for the vilest offenders. Perks of being a fellow Alpha I guessed. Still, I didn’t want to spend any more time here than absolutely necessary. The room had no windows so I had no way of knowing what time it was when I finally heard two sets of footsteps approaching in the hall. Despite my wolf, Ares, whimpering in my head, I puffed out my chest and squared my sh
Jenna's POV “Aaaaaahhhh!” I screamed as I angrily stomped back and forth in my tiny cell. Not that I could go very far in either direction. And not that anyone could hear me scream. I knew there was a guard down here somewhere. I could smell him. But he never came close enough for me to see him. If I could just get him to come closer, I was sure I could manipulate him to help me out of here eventually. But no. I was only given food and water once a day and even then, it was one of the nasty old she-wolves from the kitchen who brought it to me. After Reegan had brought that bitch down here to see me, one of the warriors must have come to increase the length on my chains. I was unconscious at the time from . . . well I wasn’t exactly sure what she’d done to me. All I could remember was being slammed into the wall by something powerful I couldn’t see. At least I wasn’t hanging from the ceiling anymore but it was a small victory. When I’d asked why I was being offered such civility
Damien’s POV I was sitting at my desk, absently bouncing a rubber ball against my closed office door. Throw, bounce, catch, repeat. It was all I was good for today. That and getting lost in my thoughts of her. Tossed aside on the corner of my desk, taunting me with its presence, was the invitation to the mating ceremony for Kat and her Glass Lake Alphas. It had arrived today and I had been totally blindsided by it. I shouldn’t have been. I knew it was coming. I just hadn’t expected it to be so soon. I’d ignorantly thought I’d have at least a month or more to adjust to the idea. “It hasn’t even been a week, for Goddess’ sake!” I complained out loud to my empty office. “Boss, the transfer from Snowy Mountain is at the gate. I’m going to meet her now. I’ll bring her by your office for an introduction before I give her an official tour. If she’s hot, it might be an extended tour.” My Gamma, Eric, chuckled in my head. “Sure, whatever.” I responded unenthusiastically. I’d been s
Ian’s POV I looked down at the beautiful she-wolf in my arms as we danced together at Kat’s mating ceremony reception. I inhaled her mouthwatering strawberry scent and drank in her beauty. Her silky auburn hair that flowed in soft waves down her back, shining like the embers of a fire. Her eyes that sparkled like emeralds and danced with happiness when they looked at me. I enjoyed the feel of her lush curves as she pressed her body tight against me, the soft swell of her breasts against my chest and the flare of her hips where my hands fit so perfectly. I itched to lower them and feel the flesh of her perfect ass in my hands, but I forced myself to behave. There would be time for that later. Resting my cheek on her head, I chuckled to myself as I thought back to how nervous I’d been during those first weeks as we both learned to navigate our new relationship. All I’d ever known of women was Elena, Katalina’s mother and my first mate. But I never wanted Isabella to feel like she
*Warning: This chapter contains mature content of a sexual nature. Kat's POV I vaguely wondered how I ended up here, sandwiched between my two sexy mates, their hands roaming my body and muddling my mind. All I had wanted to do was lay by the pool, read a book, and relax but now all I could think about was the need to feel them touching me and kissing me, to have them both buried inside me. It was all-consuming, pushing every other thought aside. Reegan was lavishing my tits with attention, sucking at my hardened nipples like a starving man. He had one muscular thigh between my legs, pressed against my core and I couldn’t stop myself from grinding against him. The dampness between my legs was quickly soaking through my bikini bottoms, running down my thighs and soaking his leg. When Ryan stepped up behind me and sucked on his mark, my knees went weak. He slipped his arms around my waist, holding me up as his brother released my nipple with a tug of his teeth and stood up to capt
Reegan's POV I was totally in the zone, killing my workout, when all of a sudden I felt my wolf get anxious. He was pacing around in my head, all amped up. “Rikkon, what’s up man?” I ask, starting to get anxious myself. “Something’s wrong with mate! She’s upset! We need to go check on her now!” he whined back at me. He didn’t need to tell me twice! Since marking Kat, our wolves were so in tune to each other, it was like some of her Celtic wolf’s intuition was shared with us through the bond. If Rikkon felt something was wrong, then something was wrong. I was already moving towards the door. Not wanting to wait on the elevator, I took the stairs at wolf speed. In less than a minute I was flying through the door of our hotel room, slamming it against the wall as I flung it open. “What the fuck is going on in here?” I yelled as my eyes frantically searched the room for my baby girl. My wolf led me straight to her wolf so I knew she was here somewhere but I didn't see her. Tha
Ryan’s POV “I’m gonna head to the gym, get in a work-out before we take our girl out tonight. Wanna join?” Reegan asked. We were walking back from the hotel restaurant after enjoying breakfast with our mate. It had been several weeks since our mating ceremony and we were finally taking a much needed trip alone together. We would've liked to go sooner, but with the impending threat of the Dark Fae, and so much unknown about them, we couldn’t leave our pack unprotected. It had taken a while to mobilize our allies to send some of their warriors to reinforce our security. We’d decided to honeymoon at a five-star luxury resort on a tropical island and had just arrived yesterday afternoon. My brother and I had considered so many options when deciding to surprise Kat with this trip but with all the stress of the last few months and the uncertainty of the future, we settled on a place we could truly relax and unwind, just enjoying each other’s company. “You should go!” Kat offered. “I’
*Warning: This chapter contains mature content of a sexual nature. Kat’s POV For a moment, I lost myself in the beautiful seafoam green eyes staring deep into my soul when suddenly, I was pulled to my knees. Ryan reached out, grasping the low-cut V of my dress and ripped it right down the middle, leaving me completely bare to their view. “Fuck! I loved that dress on her.” Reegan cursed. “We’ll buy her a new one.” Ryan dismissed him. “It was in my way.” Then, coming along either side of me, they both helped to lay me gently on my back. I watched, practically drooling, as they stepped back and slowly discarded their own clothes, piece by agonizing piece. They were moving lazily, like they were completely unaware of the aching need I had for them to touch me. “Relax, Angel. We’re going to take care of you.” Ryan’s voice was full of erotic promises. Reegan tucked his arms under me and rolled me to my stomach. I could feel their heated gazes burning into me and I heard what sounde
