Chapter Twenty Five

ELENA

I watched Jason as he paced about, talking to whomever he was talking to on the phone. One thing I noticed though was that, whoever was on the phone with him, was making him really nervous.

He wasn't smiling, and had an almost constipated expression appear on his face every now and then.

I hoped it wasn't to serious though.

The only people that could make me look like that while answering a call from them, were my parents, since they scolded a d teased a whole lot.

I couldn't imagine Jason Richardson getting scolded and teased by his mother.

Although that would have been a sight to behold.

Hah!

At one point, our eyes met, and we held it for a second or two before I was forced to look away first.

We were just tolerating each other at this point. And the sooner I understood that, the better.

A very delicious aroma wafted through the air, making my nostrils peak, just before the waitress from earlier came into view, with another waiter behind her.
