I was full even before I got to the delicious carrot cake, but I didn't mind as I scooped a good amount, and put in my mouth. The flavor was something else, covering every corner of my mouth. It wasn't too sweet...just the right amount.

"So, are you going to tell me what the heck is going on, and why I have to find out that you got married through the news, and your brother who I had to force to tell me?" My mother asked, cutting short my little enjoyment.

I cleared my throat, setting down my spoon as I looked up to face her. "Mum, you will not understand." I said, leaning into my chair. The fact was, despite knowing she was going to ask, and despite all the mental preparations I had made, I was still not ready to say anything yet.
