It was a surprise that Julian was accommodating to me considering he has a nonchalant attitude. He answered all my questions about werewolves as we toured around their territory. Their land was vast and the majority of it was occupied by the forest. Their wolves love to run with nature.

I've learned a lot from listening to him. It's not only about werewolves but also about hunters and about the history of their land and their pack which is called Dark Moon. It seems not everything that I’ve read in books was true about them. Their world that I discovered intrigued me which is why I’ve never been more in awe; and despite being scared, I still want to learn more about them.

That, and the fact that there’s a part of me that was accepting of this which was utterly fascinating and strange.

"Your family… why are you not with them?"

The question made me halt, a frown etched in my forehead. Julian stopped beside me and watched me with a raised brow.

“My family and I aren’t really that

Nasrin“You’re distracted.” Caleb remarked, stopping our training.“I’m sorry.” He reaches his hand on my hair, picking up a dry leaf that got stuck. “You’re getting better, Rin. But you’re not focused right now. You fell a lot of times earlier, too. You know how much the Gamma will take pleasure in your downfall.” “I… I met your Alpha last night.” I said, hugging myself as the thought of him made me nervous and scared. “I guess I just feel unnerved. It was the first time I’ve seen him…” Since the night he admitted his plans to me, his fury, the pain he inflicted on me and the way he forced me to pleasure him.Caleb placed his hand on my shoulder, comforting me. “Hey, it’s okay. Think about it. Instead of putting you to cells, he lets you roam free and even gives you the time to train with me. Think about that, Rin. The Alpha…” He exhales. “Everyone here is just hurt and victims of the attack. I hope that you understand that isn’t easy for them, too.”“I know.”“Perhaps you can prov

JulianSilence consumed the room as I waited for my dear friend to respond to my report. Minutes had gone by, still he was quiet, spacing out behind his desk. I cleared my throat, faking a cough to grab his attention. “Alpha.” No response. “Lucan.” I finally grabbed his attention.“What?”I watched him in disbelief. “I suggested that we mention again to the council about you being king.” A deep frown etched on his face. I know he doesn’t like this topic but it was necessary for the plan. “It might be a perfect set up to bring forth those who betrayed Dark Moon and the former Alpha.”“It is a good plan. However, it might be another cause for another attack on Dark Moon. It was part of the reason my family was murdered.” He said so nonchalantly. He had put off his grieving and focused on our pack. It was truly sad to see my friend like this but alas, it was part of being the Alpha. Not to mention one of the biggest packs. I nodded in agreement. It was indeed risky. I studied my Alpha.

Nasrin“Happy Birthday, Caleb!” I exclaimed, hugging him in the process.I wanted to greet him first during training. Since he’s a popular guy, he was already surrounded with his peers greeting him and hugging him. I made sure to do it during our training. I didn’t want to bother him when he’s surrounded by his friends.“Sorry, I’m probably the last one to say that.”He squeezed me in his embrace as he chuckled. “It’s just the middle of the day. The last one will be at 11:59.”I giggled, letting him go. I kissed each of his cheeks. My grin widened when I saw him blush. “What’s with that blush?” I poked the side of his torso. “Haven’t been kissed in your cheeks before?” I said, teasing him. “Actually…” He trailed, rubbing the back of his neck shyly. “Not from a girl.”“It’s just a friendly kiss though.”“I know. It’s just… I haven’t been really really close with a girl. I’m waiting for my mate.”“Wait, you haven’t had a girlfriend before?” I asked, surprised at the revelation.“No. Li

I blushed at his comment. That’s one way to crush my confidence. I looked down knowing it’s hard for me to meet his eyes. There’s something the way he said it that felt like I was a slut. It’s not my fault my breasts were on the bigger side. My sisters were the same so I shouldn’t feel like this. It’s just normal.I was waiting for him to say something. I couldn’t ask him why he was here. I really thought it was Rose. It had become a habit for her to barge right into my room. I didn’t have a problem with that since she always comes here to ask me if there’s anything I need. I didn’t expect the devil’s presence. The last time he came here was a memory that I wanted to bury six feet under the ground. I rarely see him, too. He was someone that comes and goes. I often catch a glimpse of him, sometimes during training. I would sneak a glance but I would look away immediately. His presence was scary enough, let alone meeting his eyes.Suddenly, I felt his hand wrapped around my neck, sque

“If it isn’t my favorite student.” I jumped away in surprise and saw Katarina whispering loudly against my ear. I covered my ear as I looked up at her like a deer caught in headlights. She sneered at me, relishing at my reaction.“I suggest you eat meat and not… that.” She nodded towards the tart I reached before she startled me. I stared at the desserts longingly. She rolled her eyes and sighed. “Just go get one.” I hurriedly grabbed one and ate it all the while Katarina was staring at me. I stole a glance at her before looking away.“You know, you’re not at all pretty bad, baby girl. As much as I want to deny, you have improved greatly in your training.” She said, surprising me. “You better keep it up.” Katarina grabs two glasses of drinks from an omega passing by. She gave one to me. “Drink.” She ordered, noticing that I wasn’t moving, still stunned at her confession. I quickly drank it, still not getting used to the burn in my throat.“Thank you.” I said shyly. I don’t know if s

I laugh. “No.” We both took a seat at the table as the guys disappeared into the forest. “But you two have feelings for each other?” She asked. Her dark blue eyes were filled with nothing but genuine curiosity.I shook my head. “No. Caleb’s actually a hopeless romantic and only has his heart for his mate.”She nods in approval. “As he should be. You know back in our pack, everyone waits for their mates. They rather grow old waiting than choose a mate that is not their fated.”“You and Callum are fated, right?”“Yes.” She displayed a lovestruck smile. “I’m so happy that we’ve met earlier. We have the rest of our lives loving each other. Cal is so handsome, too.” She said dreamily.I smiled at her, amused. Everyone here is good looking though. Eliana is beautiful, too. I can’t help but notice that their skin color is almost the same. They were tanned. Some are on the darker side and some lighter. It’s probably because they are always out under the sun. I learned that they love running

  • An Alpha's Bite   17. A Full Moon's Blessing

Lucan This was the first time I didn’t find the full moon a blessing. It was a fucking burden. I would have been grateful for the strength and power it bestows but not when I have someone I’m trying to avoid. I had approached her earlier with the intention of not allowing her to join the gathering. I did not want her out knowing the full moon was up shining so brightly. Despite Rose's request to give the girl a break, I didn't listen and still went inside her room. I should've listened. I would've spared myself from this unwarranted… feeling. Seeing her in that dress that was unbelievably tight on her chest… I fucking forgot the reason why I was even there. I glared at the moon, blaming it for heightening every damn thing, including attraction towards mates. Closing my eyes, I inhaled a deep breath as an addicting fragrance invaded my senses and a slow careful footsteps came nearer to my direction. It stopped and I felt her presence beside me. The sweet smell of her innocence

She screams as I lose my mind over the warmth and tightness of her walls that were holding me in a vice grip. My eyes roll to the back of my head. I almost blacked out from the extreme pleasure. I let her go from my arms, wanting to stare at the sight before me. Her pussy almost swallowed me whole, stretched to accommodate my girth. It was mesmerizing. Though I thought I had entered fully but there were a few more inches left. I swore I had shoved the entire length, I could already feel her cervix. Her sobs awoke me from the trance. I brought down my lips, kissing her eyes and her cheeks where the tears had fallen, and went back sucking my mark. Maximus demanded me to comfort her, now reassured that we’re already sheathed inside her, what he had always cried out for. Still not fully though but I would make sure that the few inches that remained will be erased. I start to move very slowly. It was agonizing for me but it made her adjust to my size until she began moaning not with pai

“One day, Alina noticed it. She noticed that those thoughts had been gnawing at me. She then explained to me that Lucan was never meant to be with his fated.”I frowned. I was shocked at this revelation. What was the moon goddess thinking of pairing the Alpha to a traitor but then turned out they were never meant to be?“How is that possible? The goddess pairs her children for a reason.”Rin shrugs in response. “Believe me, I had asked the same question. She told me that I was different. The two of us created a bond etched into our very souls. She said that the moon goddess somehow favored me.”My frown deepened as I tried to process this. “I don’t think that answers the question. Does that mean Alpha Lucan was never meant to be with his mate from the start? If you had not come into his life, would he have remained mateless.” I said, piecing everything together.Rin looked at me, her eyes reflecting a myriad of emotions, but she offered no response. The silence hung heavy between us.

“How is that possible, Alina?” Rin voiced out, curling her hand tighter around her mate’s arm.Alina stole a glance at me and then back at the couple before us. “Anything is possible, my Luna.” Alina calmly answered. “And though I like to answer that question according to what you seek, I always do not have an answer to everything. For that, I am sorry.”After that fiasco in the Alpha's office, Lady Alina could have teleported back to her cottage. Surprisingly, she took my offer in escorting her back to her home.Alpha Lucan was still angry and dejected about it and Rin was still consoling him. I don’t know if she just accepted what happened or that the Alpha’s intense emotions overwhelmed her.“Tell me, Lady Alina. Do you really not know why I was mated to their daughter?”I made sure that we were further away from the pack and nearing her cottage before I asked that question. I didn’t want to risk anyone hearing it.“Of course, I know, Delta. I just didn’t want to let them know the

CalebThe Alpha’s daughter is my mate.Yes, that’s right. Nasrin’s daughter– my friend’s daughter. I don’t know why the moon goddess did this to me– why she made my friend’s daughter my mate. For goddess' sake, she’s like a daughter to me.I remember the first time our eyes met when I held her. There was a strange connection that I couldn't get at first. Eventually, I realized the connection was actually a bond– a mate bond.My emotions were a rollercoaster when I realized what it meant. I didn’t know how it was possible that I could feel it on a pup. A fucking baby!I didn’t know if I should be happy that I finally found my mate. Fate was fucking cruel. After that encounter, I was conflicted. I didn’t know what to do. I envisioned the future here in this pack as she grows older. I can imagine myself suffering, watching her grow into a beautiful fine lady. I could only watch her from afar and fight the matebond. Fighting is the only thing that I could possibly do. What would they t

  • An Alpha's Bite   56. His Conflict

It had been a few months after the successful celebration and the introduction of the twins to the pack with Apollo as the future Alpha of the pack. There was dancing, singing and a huge bonfire for the crowd. The flow of the drinks and food were never ending. And to my surprise, Lucan invited the Alphas who had been loyal to him ever since. That included my sister's mate. I was so happy she and her mate were able to attend the party. It’s not like he had a choice on the matter. The Alphas really made their presence known. As Lucan would say, they were always breathing down his neck. Either way, Lucan really made sure to spare no expense on the party. “Fucking finally.” Lucan growled lowly, relieving a sigh as he watched me put down our son beside his already sleeping sister. I glared at him. “How long have you been standing there?” I didn’t notice him standing in the doorway of the twins’ bedroom until he spoke. He shrugs, “I was waiting for them to finally fall asleep.” He str

A few days later, Lucan finally allowed my friends to visit me and the twins. My room was chaotic. They brought food, flowers and gifts for me. The room was filled with our chatter and laughter. I was surprised that the twins didn't mind being passed around like they were dolls. Rose scolded them a couple times for doing that but I understand that they couldn't help it. It wasn't only them that felt excited about their birth, it was the whole Blood Moon that celebrated. Lucan still didn't allow them to see our son and daughter. He wanted me to completely rest first. Rose already planned for the party once Lucan is convinced I'm fine. It was evening and everyone had already returned to their work. I heard a knock on my door. I expected it to be Rose bringing my dinner. I was surprised that it was Caleb that brought it for me. "I thought for sure you wouldn't visit me, Caleb," I teased. He laughs, placing my dinner on the side of my bed. "I was busy with work. I couldn't join the o

“Because I was ashamed." Tears fell from her eyes as she confessed. "I didn't know how to face you so I begged Alpha Lucan not to let you know. I'm sorry, Rin. I'm sorry for being so selfish.""No, no. You don't have to be ashamed. You saved me. You risked your life for me. Why do you feel ashamed?" I cried."Come on, Rin. I could have saved you countless times when they tried to torment you. You were sick and alone and no one to lean on. I just stood by and watched. I was no better than them. I don't even deserve to be here with you but my mate convinced me to face the only family I have left.""Then it's good that you listened to him. You have no idea how hurt I am when I learned about your death. I cherished you so much, Sky. You might have not helped me back then but you always never fail to let me feel that you're there for me. NasrinThe whole packhouse was in chaos when they heard my water broke and finally in my labor. Everyone was either excited or panicked– like my wayward Alpha for example. He was a mess. If I wasn’t the one who was in labor, I would’ve laughed at him.He didn’t look like the calm arrogant Alpha. He was anxious, fidgety and a whole lot of nervous.“I’ll be fine.” I squeezed his hand in assurance. I was trying to look fine even though I winced at the pain once in a while. He didn’t buy my words. He was extremely worried. He had called Alina to make sure everything was going to be fine. I didn’t object, especially knowing that my twins are not normal Alphas. She had told me that the delivery will be fine as long as I take care of myself while carrying the twins. And I did. Lucan made sure I did, too. I was always his priority the whole time. He was willing to leave his work for me. That’s why I was confident that I’d deliver the twins safely. “I’ll stop worrying when the pups are out a

We held our meeting in my office. He only updated me on the current events of the company right now. As usual, it was doing great and only had minor problems.Nasrin was with me during the meeting. She was sitting on the couch where we made the twins. When she learned that she's pregnant, the image of us on the couch made her extremely embarrassed every time she sat there. She always remembers it, especially that there was growing evidence on her belly. Aside from being able to watch over her there, I also wanted her to know the ins and outs of the pack, including the company that I let Roman run. Surprisingly, Nasrin was doing great being the Luna of Blood Moon. She was level headed and intelligent. She easily understood everything going on in the pack. She's relaxed and catches on real quick. And I love that she's cool and not quick to anger. It was so opposite of me.As much as I want to say it's because I'm an Alpha, I knew it was just my personality. It became worse when I lost

“You look like you're about to pop.” Caleb commented on Nasrin teasingly as I watched both of them interact in the living room of our packhouse. Ever since Nasrin and I got back together, I didn’t find the need to be jealous of my Delta’s care for my mate. It took a while for me to finally let go of that feeling but I understood that he just cares for her as a close friend. Although I can’t help but feel jealous at times. Nasrin is kind to everyone and she treats them equally with care and compassion. It’s probably one of the reasons why I find her so endearing. She chuckles at his comment. “I know. I look like I’m more than nine months pregnant. Alina said it’s because of the twins. They really tire me out.” She sighs heavily, leaning her head on the backrest of the couch. My heart aches for her. I wanted her pregnancy to be planned. She was in her early twenties. I wanted her to have time for herself. She has a lot to learn in this pack, as a wolf and as a Luna. Also, I wanted
