And since he knew the truth now, and there was no escaping the consequences of my actions. Sooner or later, he would turn on me, and I would be nothing more than a pawn in his game. I could already see the betrayal in his eyes, the cold, calculating gaze that made me feel like nothing more than a means to an end. He would trade me to Fenrir without a second thought, just to get his hands on the information he needed about the Tanzanite stone like he wanted to do from the start.

I knew what he wanted, what he expected of me, but I couldn't bring myself to comply. I couldn't go back to Fenrir place and be his pet, not after everything that he did to me. Death seemed like a far better option.

"Why don't you just kill me already? Take your revenge for lying to you all this time, and I won't blame you for anything," I said firmly, my voice shaking slightly.

I braced myself for the worst, expecting him to lash out at me, to make good on his threats. But to my surprise, he simply stood ther
