#Chapter5

Matt knew that he could not kill this girl. She seemed to be speaking the truth. If her mate was indeed in the pack, if they hurt her, they would hurt one of their own. So, he had gone to get the Alpha leaving the girl with other warriors whom he had mind linked to meet at the forest clearing before leaving. So that the others could continue patrolling.

He knocked the door lightly again before opening it. When Aries didn't smell any rouge blood and just saw Matt coming in, he was confused. Why would his beta come to him empty handed when he clearly ordered for the head? He knew that his Alpha was busy, so why delay him even more, thought Aries.

“Alpha” Matt said slightly bowing his head. He waited until Aries finally replied.

“What is it?” he commanded.

“Alpha, looks like the girl is looking for her mate who seems to be one of our pack members.”

Before Aries could say anything, Matt continued, “She said she will leave with her mate once she finds him. If we hurt her, then we’ll also be hurting our people as well, so I think that we should just let her leave with her mate.”

Aries blue eyes were dark with rage, letting a growl, “And you believe this rouge speaks the truth because?”

Matt swallowed hard before replying, “She’s alone. She came alone. I don’t think she has any other motives.” he paused. “I think you should meet her once” he finally found the courage to say.

Although Aries was angry, he knew that Matt would never do anything wrong so he supressed his growl, stood from his chair and made his way out to the forest clearing with Matt following him.

Aries could smell the rouge before he could even see her. But what took him by surprise was that he didn’t feel disgusted by the smell as it soon was overpowered by a sweet vanilla and lavender scent. As he got closer to the clearing, the smell got even stronger, until his eyes met hers.

“Mate” Ace, his wolf, whispered.

She was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. The moment he saw her, Aries knew he wanted her. Althea’s dark eyes bored into his blue eyes as a crease started to form on her perfect forehead as a realisation hit her. She thought her mate was one of the pack members, even a warrior whom she could convince to leave with her but reality hit her hard.

How was she supposed to ask the Alpha to leave his pack? Althea thought.

Her mate was a huge, about six foot two compared to her five-ten. He was well built, his muscle bulging from his tight black t-shirt which he wore with a dark blue jean. His face that of a god, piercing blue eyes, straight nose and kissable lips.

She wanted to run her fingers over his sandy blond hair that looked soft and messy making him look sexy. He smelled like fresh mint which didn’t help. His body showed power, dominance, authority which was reflected by her own. For seconds, they just stood admiring each other.

“Alpha” finally Matt broke the comfortable silence looking at Aries.

“Bring her to the guest room” Aries told the warriors. Then he turned to Matt and said “To my office” and started walking away.

Althea sighed; she had not thought of the possibilities of her mate being an Alpha. She knew she had little time before her own pack would start searching for her as she could not mind link them without being caught and she had no other way to contact them.

#Chapter7Althea knew there was no danger to her in this pack but she barely slept due to her continuous nightmare and talked with Ava, her wolf, about her next move.A week had passed, she had barely eaten. The only food she had was when Matt insisted on bringing dinner to her room after three days of her not eating. He had forced her to eat saying she needed some food in her system to keep going. He even took few bites from her food making her believe that there was nothing wrong with the food. He thought she was not eating because she might be thinking that they would poison her food. But little did he know she grew up eating poisons. Not many people knew about her mother’s true identity and the people who knew were killed on the rouge war with them. Of course, Ash and Liam knew about her as they were the two people that spent the most of their time with her. After her parents died, some people in her pack wanted power so tried to kill her by poisoning her food. No one knows

She jumped enough to sit on the branch high on the tree and leaned against the bark, right leg slightly bent resting her arm and the other dangling. She starting biting her apple. Both the male and female warriors just stared at the beautiful girl as she climbed ever so gracefully high on the tree next to where they were training. She looked at them as she chewed on her apple, as if to tell them to continue what they were doing so, they focused back on their training. She could tell that the warriors were strong. She had watched them train for a week. She loved how her mate didn’t differentiate between male and female, allowing them all to be warriors. She admired that about him as she strongly believed that females weren’t just to comfort males and bear their pub. She was the living proof of that. She knew that no man had ever lived to prove her otherwise and would challenge anyone

#Chapter9Aries made his way to his room with Althea right behind. He did not like how she was dressed and how the boys were gawking at her. Of course, she looked beautiful, there was no doubt, Aries thought. He walked straight into his room and into his closet. He bought a few pair of his tops and trousers. He walked to Althea who was standing next to the window, looking outside, analysing the view from his room which was facing the other direction from her room. She could see the sun about to set. There were also patrollers around the boarder.“Here take this.” He said handing her the clothes.“Are you going to reject me?” Althea asked, her voice emotionless, her body still facing the window.Aries flinched at her question and clutched the clothes in his hand. He let out a dangerous growl.“Is that a yes?” she asked again. He hesitated before he said, “... you are a rouge.”He said it as if it was a sin to be one. Althea herself was haunting the rouges but never did she thin

She laid on her side while he hugged her from the back. After a long time, Althea slept like a kid with no nightmares. She woke up with a tingling feeling on her belly. Aries had wrapped his hand around her bare waist, in his sleep. Her t-shirt was wrinkled up, leaving her belly bare. It hadn’t even been long but he needed to feel her close to him.She slowly turned around and looked at his sleeping face. It was peaceful, not a sign of the stern Alpha, there slept just Aries. She took in all the details of his face, his thick, long eyelashes, his soft lips. She trailed her fingers down his face, closing her eyes and taking in all the detai

Their body, their posture held so much power, so much dominance. They looked godly. They stood behind their chairs at the head of the wooden table which was long rectangular shaped.
