Chapter 4: Battle Of Magic Wielders

Inihanda na nila ang arena. Well, wala naman akong ikakahiya if ever matatalo ako since kami-kami lang din naman ang nandito.

Ngayon ko lang din nalaman na may uniform kami based kung anong types ng magic namin during duel or may mission.

Sa ngayon, hindi muna sila pinapasuot ng uniporme nila, sapagkat nagiging unfair na 'yon, well unfair naman from the first place kasi apat sila, while I am alone.

But I can't lose. I must turn the table. If I lose, they won't accept me as a colleague and if they won't accept me, the tendency is that my father can't have the justice he deserved. 

“This arena has its barrier and everything is on my control. I will be the judge kung sino ang mananalo to avoid major injury,” Mr. Adrian said.

I feel something is about to crack sa ibaba and everything went slow-motion. I know these moves. This power came from Kristine.

Before it entangled me, I jumped and step back. Kristine looks surprised for I have predicted her moves. I smiled at her. Nagpatuloy lang ako sa pagtakbo because I know that soon they will plan something.

Habang tumatakbo ako, Navrick run towards me. Hinahabol ako and I can say that he is faster than I am nang dahil na rin sa apoy. He used it to run faster.

Malapit na siya and that time, yumuko ako caused him na mapasobra and I grabbed his one leg at ibinagsak ko siya sa floor, and he groaned.

I don't know, but it seems like I anticipated every move of them and sinipa ko si Navrick and there's a fire. Noticeable mas'yado pero napakabilis nito na muntik na akong matamaan and I looked at Sera.

She used her staff to create flames. I see, she controlled the power of Navrick. If she can control 4 power simultaneously. It means, she had the power of these other threes.

She is about to throw something at me. I was terrified after seeing that she mixed the power of flame and matters. She used the flame to merge with a rock.

On the other hand, Leon handling an axe while si Kristine naman nagsimula nang pagalawin ang lupa.

I don't know what to do. Sa totoo lang napaka-unfair nito but I chose to agreed because this is the only way.

This time, maybe I could do it. Maybe I can use my power. I just need to relax. 

Sera started to move the rock. I tried to make a gesture but then nothing happened. I managed to avoid the one while the other one hits me at my shoulder. Hinawakan ko ang balikat ko't nakita na dumudugo ito. Napakasakit sabayan mo pa ng apoy dahilan nang paghapdi.

Tiniis ko ang sakit nito. Muntik na akong mapasigaw and now Leon starting to attack me. Madaling bagay lang 'to. Marunong na akong umiwas. Matagal ko na 'tong pinagtutuunan.

Before it could hits me, I observe Kristine's action and she was about to trap me again? How naive.

Pero nagulat ako na may humawak saaking balikat. WHAT? A TRUNK?

I can't move. I looked at Kristine, only to find out that she's smiling. An evil smile that even wolves will be terrified.

I feel the blood coming out from my legs.  It brought excruciating pain caused me to shout and cries.

Is this the end? Pa'no na ako makakapasok nito? Hindi pwede 'to. Ayaw kong matalo. Hindi ko 'to matatanggap!

The trunk loose itself at napaluhod ako. Lumapit sila saakin with their dreadful eyes and their devilish smile. Too cruel.

“Gan'yan lang ba ang iyong magagawa? Ni hindi mo nga kayang gamitin ang kapangyarihan mo,” yabang na tugon ni Navrick.

Hindi lang ito ang magagawa ko. Alam kong kaya ko't magagamit ko ang kapangyarihan ko. Ipapakita ko sainyo.

“Bakit ka nga ba tinanggap? Hindi ka nababagay dito.” Leon stated.

Galit ko siyang tinignan. Napakayabang, baka nga't kaya ko siyang patumbahin kung hindi lang gagamitin ang kapangyarihan.

“Oh, I think you thought about you can beat me if we are prohibited from using our spell, do you?” 

Napakagaling. Nakakabasa ba 'to ng isipan? No, probably he figured it out nang dahil sa expression ko.

“So anong magagawa mo? This is an Academy for magic. Which means magic is matter? Kung hindi ka naman makakagamit at matatalo kami. Hayaan mo kaming ipabalik ka sa iyong pinanggalingan.”

My eyes widened. I won't let you. You don't own me. I WILL NOT LET ANYONE DERIVED MY FATHER'S JUSTICE.

Galit na galit ako. Hindi ko malaman kung gaano, pero sa oras na 'to. Nawawala nanaman ako sa wisyo, pero magkaiba 'to, sapagkat wala akong pakialam kahit masaktan o mamatay man ang mga taong 'to. Mga hayop kayo.

Tumayo ang sarili kong katawan. Hindi gaya noon, parang natutuwa pa ako na gumalaw ito sa sarili niyang will.

Even though wala akong pake kung anong gagawin ng sinoman ang kumontrol saakin, but its laugh creeps me out.

Tumawa ako.

They all made what-are-you-laughing-for-looks. Tumigil na ako sa pagtawa and says, “Ngayon niyo ako talunin na ako na ang may kontrol.”

“As you wish,” Leon stated.

They all strike at me simultaneously, and I raise my hand, and they all look so shocked as they found out that the magic of Navrick and Sera vanished.

Hindi sila makagalaw. Bumalik na sila sa kanilang dating mukha and Leon smiled. “This seems getting interesting.”

“Do the team attack.”

They all step back and split afterwards. What are they planning to do? Hmm. Hayaan ko nalang ang sarili kong talunin sila.

Leon created a shield. I can't move, so I can't escape. I can still see the outside of it. Ibang barrier, for what?

Navrick and Sera, prepared themselves to attack. Nanonood din naman ako ng anime, and by that I figured what they are going to do.

I see. Let me see how strong this person who currently controlling me.

They mixed their fire, and it turned into blue and huge? While Kristine, on the other hand, she controlled the soil to entangle me. It was about to catch me, but it was cut.

Eventually, my hand moving sideward. They began to throw the fire after me, but before it could burn me, the barrier was destroyed by me and the blast of fire exploded.

I can't see nothing and I didn't feel any pain neither. Napakaliwanag nito. Later on, nawala na ito at nagulat ko na ang layo ang inabot nila. Duguan at may mga galos sila.

Tapos na ba? Ang problema ko ngayon ay kung paano makakabalik. Paano ko kontrolin ulit ang katawan ko.

Masama 'to. My body moves itself, doing hand gesture, again. I need to do something about this.

“TAPOS NA ANDRE!” Mr. Adrian shouted. He run towards me.

I tried my best to stop this, but hindi siya tumitigil. 

Inaalala ko ang sinabi ni mama and I observed na before ko nagamit ang kapangyarihan ko, I think negatively. Does it means that my way of thinking is involved as well?

I have tried my best to think positively. Inaalala ko si bunso and some scenario, and I found myself laying down.

I managed to stop my magic. Long before I could move my head, I lost my consciousness.

I woke up in the room at napakaliwannag nito, only to see the four other Higher-up. Ano ba ang nangyari?

“Buti nakagising ka pa,” natatawang sambit ni Leon. Tumawa rin ako kasabay ng iba.

At do'n naalala ko ang mga ginawa ko. I was shocked at nahihiya. Yumuko ako't humingi ng pasensya saaking nagawa.

“Wala 'yon. Okay lang. Hindi pa naman kami patay besides ang galing mo ah! Nagawa mo kaming patumbahin tho hindi naman talaga ako masyadong nasaktan, but I even almost used up all my strength to heal y'all dahil maraming sugat ang inyong natamo,”

“Andre, the wielder, you are now a part of higher-up students. We are looking forward to what you can do.”

After I was accepted for being a higher-up student, naglakad lakad kami. They all introduced me to the place I am not familiarized with.

May lalagyan sila ng armor to be used during wars, may books para malaman mo on how to use your power depende sa klaseng mahika ang meron ka.

I don't know what magic I have, that's why I decided to grab the book that contain all tips sa lahat ng klase ng mahika.

Nandito na kami sa parte kung saan nakadisplay ang mga mukha ng mga taong naging parte sa akademyang ito. Nakaframe ang mga mukha nila with their name and position.

“This is my father. My father was once a Headmaster of this academy, unfortunately, he died due to illness.”

I took a glance at his name. Lorenzo Stalburt.

I don't know, but parang normal lang kay Leon ang sabihing wala na ang papa niya. He seems like he accepted his father's death.

Sana ako rin, pero alam kong hindi ako matatahimik hangga't hindi ko nabigyan si papa ng hustisyang karapat dapat sa kaniya.

Nasa malapit na kami sa dulo and I was shocked sa kung ano ang nakita ko. My Father.

“And this man is—”

“Nick Donovan.”

“Wait, you know this man? How come?” Leon asked.

“Oh, same pala kayo ng surname. What is your relationship with him?”

“I am his son. I am Andre Donovan, son of Nick Donovan, the former Headmaster of this Academy.”

They are all surprised. Kami-kami lang ang nandito sa lugar na ito. Before they decided to broach me to the place that I am not familiarized with umalis na si Mr. Adrian at pagala gala nalang kami.
