The Reality

“I can’t believe you said yes!” Maddie said, her eyes wide as she looked at the shiny ring on Gemma’s perfectly french manicured hands.

When Gemma had told her two days ago that she and Connor had gotten engaged, Maddie had been in shock. It was also the same moment that her brother’s had surprised her by coming home earlier than expected and she had just answered her phone when she had opened the door and seen her brother’s there. Max had heard everything and had shifted, planning on chasing after her but thankfully their father had come home then and had managed to grab him and take him down to the pack basement and contain him. For the last day and a half, Max had snarled and kept hitting his body against the cage, trying so hard to escape and go to his mate.
