Princess Yeri.

As soon as I am out of the execution grounds, I do not look back. The gruesome sound and the instant smell of blood and death are too much for me to bear. I rush out, running through the castle corridors and my vision is blurred by tears. I can tell that my own breath is coming in ragged gasps.

I burst through a side door into the courtyard where cool air hits me like a wave. I stagger into a secluded corner and my entire body convulses. Unable to hold it back any longer, I double over and I begin to vomit the contents of my stomach. I gasp, retching violently and it splatters onto the cobblestone path. After what feels like an eternity, the spasms subside. I rest my body against the stone wall and I begin to take deep breaths, trying to calm my racing heart.
