“You piece of -“ I start speaking as I realize who was right behind me, holding me so much force I could feel the air forced out of my chest.

“Enough, Madelaine -“ the man warns me and I swallow harshly, trying to hold back from spitting out more blasphemies. “Enough of this little game of yours.” He mutters in a raspy voice, his throat dry and his voice low and threatening.
