Chapter 0005

Trigger warning: It’s a dark romance so there would be some amount of violence

The limo came to a gradual stop. Cayden stepped from the rear of the vehicle, dusting off the dirt that had accumulated on his lap. So Hawk did indeed have a daughter! He was completely oblivious to the fact that he had a daughter. He turned to see her struggling in his bodyguard’s arms, and then he trudged up the long, flat stone stairs to the enormous wooden doors. He had heard her scrambling from the car, and then he saw her fighting in Max’s arms. Another tall and imposing individual cautiously opened the doors. The other men bent their heads slowly and slightly regarding Cayden as he walked by, but Cayden did not pay any attention to them.

Selena would have been awed by the mansion she was standing in if it weren’t for the fear that was going through her head. The huge, cavernous lobby gave off the appearance of greatness because of its light-coloured marble floors and large limestone columns, each of which featured elaborate carvings at the base of the column. The area gave off an aura of sophistication, which was only stressed by two massive, winding staircases with gold railings, one on either side of the entrance.

Cayden stood apart from the small group that was gathered near the front door. He did this while flipping through the mail that was arranged neatly on a table off to the side. There was a large potted plant perched next to the letters. While he was going through the letters and organizing them, he brought some letters over to the group of individuals and held them out to them. The moment the door was opened, the man who was inside raced forwards to retrieve the letters from his Alpha. “Bring these letters down to Mr. Albert’s office and set them down on his desk there. Bloody accountants!” He muttered.

Immediately, the man walked down the large foyer, making a right down one of the many halls. It wasn’t long before he turned his attention toward his new toy. Looking at her, he couldn’t help but be amused. Something about the fear in her gave him satisfaction. It would make it easier to bend her to his will.

“Bring her to my room. Send Martha and make sure she is all cleaned up and ready. The others should report to the omega quarters. First, ask Maggi to provide them with some food and clothing, and then you should put them to work.”

Beta Max agreed with a nod and squeezed Selena even tighter. She was dragged against her will up the nearest staircase to the second story, where she screamed and kicked the entire way. As she was dragged down the long hallway towards the enormous doors at the end of the ornately adorned hall, she frantically screamed, but no one heard her. Her cries were in vain. Max could reach effortlessly with his free hand for one of the gold doorknobs and turn it while also holding the prize for his boss.

“Stay where you are and don’t try to be clever, or else things won’t turn out well for you.” He then gave the warning and then shut the door behind him.

Selena moved her gaze across the room to the expansive bedroom. The chamber possessed the same awe-inspiring grandeur and beauty as the rest of the mansion, which was fitting considering its location. The dark stain, ornately decorated wood paneling of the walls, along with the faint glowing of the lights in the room gave it the feeling of being from another period as if it had been transported from the old eighteenth-century manors seen in movies or books. The room appeared to be being from another period.

When Selena gazed around, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of dread and anxiety beginning to creep up on her. “Why the hell did I ever agree to his terms?” She reflected on herself as she let the harshness of the new truth set in.

The door of the bedroom suddenly opened, and a massive woman walked in. As she entered the room, she sent an expression of indifference in Selena’s direction while dressed in a white uniform that appeared to be a nurse’s uniform.

“My name is Martha. I will help you in getting cleaned up.”

The woman grabbed Selena and pulled her across the floor before she could even respond.

Martha maintained her silence as she smoothly guided Selena to a door that was set off to the side of the bedroom. The masculine woman with the free hand opened the door and slipped Selena inside. Martha slammed the restroom door shut and locked it before turning to face her new victim. Selena could not make any attempt to flee before Martha took action.

“Take off that soiled tee.” The woman issued the command.

When Selena stood rooted in fear. Martha sighed and tore off her tee shirt. Making Selena fall flat on the floor, as if she had run into a brick wall.

Muttering under her breath, Martha knelt, grabbed Selena with both of her arms, and then promptly dropped her into the enormous white tub that was just wide enough for one person. While Selena’s head was being violently pounded against the brittle white ceramic lining of the tub, Martha was buckling her arms into the strong leather straps that were on either side of the tub. Selena was in a stupor because of the pain, but the icy water that came from the showerhead shocked her awake and caused her to leap into her bonds. In an act of desperation, Selena tried to break free from the chains that were keeping her down while Martha was distracted to search for something in one cabinet in the enormous vanity.

“You can’t escape, you dirty whore.” Martha said gruffly as she pulled on white latex surgical gloves.
