Lila

"Get some rest. I’ve scheduled your appointment for the evening," Elliot said as he closed the door to his room behind him.

Rest? That’s not what I needed. What I needed was… something else. Something I didn’t want to name but couldn’t deny craving deep down.

I nodded absentmindedly and walked to the bedside table, pouring myself a glass of water. I sipped slowly, acutely aware of his eyes on me—hot and piercing, locked on my neck.

“Stop staring,” I said, trying to sound firm, though my cheeks warmed under his intense gaze. “It’s bad manners.”

He chuckled, the sound low and utterly sinful, before settling beside me on the bed, far too close for my nerves.

“Then teach me good manners,” he murmured seductively, his voice a silky caress that made a shiver ripple down my spine. “Because I only know bad ones.”

How was I supposed to resist a man with such a deep and sexy voice like that?

Before I could reply, my stomach let out a soft rumble, cutting through the silence and betraying my

ElliotI watched as Lila licked her lips, savoring the chocolate pastry with a soft moan that made my cock twitch into my pants. The feel of her on my lap, completely unaware of the fire she was stoking, tested every ounce of my self-control.She shifted slightly, and I knew the moment she realized the effect she had on me. Her heart rate spiked, and she inhaled sharply. My body tensed against hers, every nerve screaming in torment as I battled the urge to claim what was mine. She took another deliberate bite, her eyes locking with mine as she smirked knowingly. The minx. Her tongue darted out, slowly licking the cream from her lips, and I couldn’t help the growl that escaped my throat. She was playing with fire, and she knew it.“You know,” I murmured, my voice low and rough as I leaned closer, “you’re playing a dangerous game.”Her confidence was intoxicating. I swiped a small bit of cream from her jawline with the pastry and leaned in to lick it off her skin, my tongue trailing slow

Lila“The baby is healthy and growing faster than I expected,” the doctor said warmly, his laugh echoing softly in the quiet room, easing my nerves. It was my first checkup with Elliot, and he was seeing the small fetus for the first time, so I was nervous.Dr. Henry, the pack doctor, was a man in his mid-forties with salt-and-pepper hair and a calm demeanor that put me at ease. He seemed knowledgeable, someone Elliot clearly trusted—a fact I suspected, knowing he wouldn’t have brought me to a doctor he had any doubts about.Elliot sat beside the doctor, his gaze fixed on the ultrasound screen. A faint smile curved his lips as he watched the tiny image of our child. When his eyes flicked to mine, they shone with raw emotion, a vulnerability I rarely saw in him.“Congratulations, Alpha. You’re having twins,” Dr. Henry announced with unrestrained excitement.Twins? The words hit me like a gust of wind, stealing my breath.“Thank you, Henry,” Elliot said politely, his voice steady despite

ElliotWe hadn’t even had a proper date before the wedding. Yes, a wedding. I was planning it because, in four weeks, we’d know the genders of our twins, and I wanted her to be my wedded wife and the official Luna of my pack before then. But tonight wasn’t about the wedding—it was about our first date. A surprise date night to win her heart. When I was little, I often heard Mom complaining to Dad and her friends that Dad didn’t take her on dates anymore, he was so occupied with work that he completely forgot he had a wife and son, too. I wanted my mate to be at ease, knowing that she was my first priority no matter what was happening around us. She had been stubborn, of course, protesting when I dropped her off at the salon, insisting she didn’t need the pampering. But I wasn’t in the habit of taking no for an answer.“Alpha, the food is ready,” the chef announced, pulling me from my thoughts as I carefully arranged the bouquet of roses on the reserved private table.“Make sure there’

ElliotMy wolf growled within, ready to tear apart anyone who had dared to upset her.“No,” she whispered, shaking her head. “I’m just…not used to being in the spotlight. Everyone’s judgmental eyes make me nervous.”I frowned, my hand tightening on her chin. “And why would anyone judge you?”Her voice faltered as she looked away. “In my pack…everyone despised me for not having a wolf. I haven’t shifted yet. It’s only a matter of time before your pack finds out, and then they’ll look at me the same way—with disgust.”Anger surged within me, not at her, but at the people who had made her feel so small.“This isn’t your old pack, Lila,” I said firmly, my voice unwavering. “This is the Blue Moon Pack, and you’re their Luna. No one here will judge you. They’ll respect and love you—not because of me, but because of the incredible person you are. My pack is different, and you’ll see that soon enough.”I pulled her into my chest, wrapping my arms around her as I stroked her back gently. The sc

LilaElliot’s gaze locked onto mine as we ate in comfortable silence, the soft melody of the music blending with the faint, pleasant scent of roses in the air. I hadn’t expected to feel so at ease, not after the way the evening had begun. But somehow, sitting across from him, watching the way his piercing eyes never wavered from me, I felt… safe. When we left the salon earlier, I had been nervous. His pack adored him—revered him, even. I wasn’t used to that kind of attention, and I knew it was only a matter of time before they realized their Luna wasn’t as strong as they expected her to be. Would they turn on me? Would they whisper behind my back? But Elliot had reassured me. And he wasn’t the kind of man who said things just to soothe insecurities. If he told me his pack was different, then I had to believe him.I was still processing all of it—this strange new world, my unexpected mate, the undeniable shift in how I saw him—when his deep voice pulled me from my thoughts.“How do you

LilaIt was impossible to think clearly, let alone string two coherent thoughts together, with Elliot standing there in nothing but a pair of shorts. His sculpted chest and the hard lines of his abdomen were impossible to ignore, no matter how much I tried to keep my gaze anywhere but on him. How could I focus on anything when he was a walking, breathing temptation?“Can you not?” I snapped, my tone sharper than intended as I turned my back on him and made my way to the bed.“Not what?” His voice was smooth, teasing.“Why don’t you put on some clothes first?” I said sharply, masking my embarrassment with annoyance as I walked past him to sit on the bed.He didn’t respond, but I could feel his amused smirk burning into my back. I opened the drawer to retrieve my vitamins, trying to ignore the tension swirling in the room. Without a word, he handed me a glass of water, his movements casual but deliberate. I avoided looking up, muttered a small "thanks," and swallowed the pills.Elliot st

Elliot"You didn’t even ask for my permission before bringing Elena to my pack?" I raised a brow at Kai, watching him lower his head like a guilty pup. It was hard not to crack a smile. The idiot was my best friend, and of course, I wouldn’t stop his mate from living in my packhouse."I thought Luna had updated you about that," he said, attempting an innocent grin. "Luna asked me to bring her to the packhouse in the morning, and—""And you lost your damn mind and sprinted to your mate," I cut him off, smirking. "She’s got you wrapped around her little finger, dumbass."Kai shot me a sharp, annoyed look. "Likewise, Elliot. Luna seems to be your true soulmate, the only one who knows how to put you in your place."I scoffed. "I’m not whipped. Now get out before I smack your head and beat your ass so hard your mate sees it turn red.""Luna is right to call you an asshole," he barked back, storming out of my office.Lila...The thought of her tugged at my chest, an ache that wouldn’t subsid

LilaAt first, Elliot was hesitant, his body stiff with resistance. But as I tightened my hold around him, his walls slowly crumbled. I felt his pain as if it were my own, a deep ache that resonated in my chest. It wasn’t just sympathy—it was understanding. I’d endured my own kind of heartbreak, my own betrayals.Elliot was the epitome of strength, but even he wasn’t impervious. He carried his burdens silently, refusing to complain or seek solace. I could only imagine how much he’d endured to harbor such hatred for Julian, his stepbrother. Everything made sense now—his cold demeanor toward his father, his guarded nature.I’d never admit it to his face, but Elliot was my role model. He’d built himself from the ground up, forging a path that demanded resilience and discipline. Growing up in the same house as the people who had caused him and his mother so much pain—yet managing to rise above it all—was nothing short of remarkable.“I’m so sorry,” I whispered, my voice trembling as tears

LilaThe meeting at the office had gone better than I expected. With the new plans and policies in place, my company was finally heading in the direction I had always envisioned—a place where equality thrived, where the employees felt valued, and where archaic, discriminatory practices were eradicated. The new investment plans were strategically crafted to revitalize my company, ensuring its steady recovery from the losses my father’s mismanagement had inflicted. Each decision was calculated to not only stabilize the business but also position it for long-term growth, restoring the reputation and strength it once held. As I stepped out of my office, Sheila, my ever-efficient secretary, called out to me. “Lila, wait.” She hurried over, holding a thick file in her hands.“These are old records,” she explained, her voice tinged with unease. “I couldn’t make sense of some of them, but I thought you should take a look. They might be important.”I frowned, sensing her discomfort. “Thank y

Lila“I’ll miss you,” Uncle Liam murmured, pulling me into a warm, comforting embrace.“We’ll be back soon,” Elliot replied smoothly, his hand resting protectively on the small of my back before I could respond.Aunt Julia's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she clasped my hands in hers. “Call me, sweetheart. Promise me you will.”“Of course,” I reassured her, my voice soft but steady. She was the last connection I had to my mother’s family, and I knew her presence might be key in uncovering the secrets hidden in my mother’s journal.“I’ll visit his pack during the blood moon,” Elliot’s uncle said, glancing at Aunt Julia with a small smile. “If you’d like, you can join me.”My aunt's expression shifted from surprise to unrestrained joy. “I’d love to,” she said, her voice tinged with delight.“Don’t forget to invite us to the wedding,” Aunt Julia teased, her words laced with playful mischief as her gaze shifted between me and Elliot. My cheeks flushed, heat creeping up my neck, but E

ElliotHer lips on mine set my entire body ablaze. I could feel her surrender, her trust, and her desire—everything I craved to earn from her. The waves lapped around us, cool and steady, but nothing could temper the fire she ignited within me.I gripped her waist, holding her steady as she kissed me deeply, her hands threading through my hair and tugging just enough to drive me mad. She tasted like sweetness and temptation, the perfect mix of innocence and wildness that was uniquely her."Lila," I murmured against her lips, my voice thick with need. "If we keep this up, I won't be able to stop."Her emerald eyes met mine, a glimmer of determination in their depths. "Then don't."My wolf growled in approval, but I hesitated. She was carrying our children. Her safety, her comfort—it came before my desires. Always."Lila," I said, my tone softer now, my forehead pressed against hers. "You're everything to me, and I don't want to hurt you. Not physically, not emotionally."Her hands cupp

LilaHis face glowed beneath the sun's setting light, the hues of amber and crimson casting an almost ethereal glow on his features. As we walked hand in hand along the beach, the sand warm beneath our bare feet, I couldn’t help but trace the sharp line of his jaw with my fingertip.Elliot turned toward me, his expression softening as a dimple appeared on his cheek, and I caught my breath. That single dimple was a betrayal of his otherwise unyielding demeanor—a glimpse of vulnerability that made my heart stumble.“Why don’t you smile more often?” I asked, my voice lighter than I felt. “The dimple really suits you.” My finger lingered over the hollow, as though committing it to memory, before I pressed it gently like a button. His chuckle was low and unrestrained, the sound vibrating through me. “I smile when there’s something worth smiling about,” he said, the warmth in his voice making my pulse quicken.“And what’s the reason now?” I prodded, raising a brow.He leaned in slightly, hi

ElliotUncle Liam had asked me why I had come without her but I had shut ignored him and came back to my room. I was seething in rage, I was hurt by the way she had responded, I knew what I did was wrong but the way she had shut me out and didn't even give me a chance to hear me out was what hurt me more. I laced around my room restlessly, not able to stay away from her and the distance was gnawing at my insides. The room was heavy with her plum and jasmine scent which perturbed me more, I needed to calm distract myself so I got out of cabin and drove to the woods where I might get some peace but when I reached my car, I saw Mark opening the door of his car for my mate and I clenched my jaw, hating the fact that he was with her while I was away from her.Julia ushered Lila towards me, smiling down at me genuinely. “I see you're going out,” Julia said warmly as Lila looked at me silently with a confused face. I looked away from her and nodded my head. “Take your mate with you,” Juli

LilaThe surge of emotions through the mate bond as I woke was overwhelming—powerful, magnetic, and utterly suffocating. My hand instinctively went to my neck, fingers grazing the tender mark that now connected us irrevocably.Elliot had marked me.While I’d been unconscious, he had taken away my choice, sealing our bond without my consent. Fury ignited in my chest, eclipsing every other emotion, every other thought. My wolf stirred within me, her presence stronger, more vivid than ever before. Elliot’s mark had strengthened her, tethering us to him in a way that I couldn’t deny. But I couldn’t let the sparks, the intoxicating pull of the mate bond, blind me. Not after learning the truth about my mother’s life—how she had allowed love to trap her, to chain her.“I’m sorry, Lila,” Elliot’s voice broke through my spiraling thoughts, laced with a raw sincerity that might have softened me at another time. “I didn’t have a choice. Your aunt told me it was the only way to wake you up.”Hurt

Elliot “She’ll be fine,” Uncle Liam said, breaking the tense silence. His tone was firm, but his eyes betrayed him—darkened with concern.“She better be,” I growled, my voice raw. “Because if she isn’t…I'm going to kill that Beta of yours.” My hands clenched the wheel even tighter, my words trailing off into a dangerous promise.Mark’s house came into view, a sprawling estate tucked behind wrought-iron gates. I didn’t wait for them to fully open, driving through the narrow gap the moment it was wide enough. The tires screeched as I brought the car to an abrupt stop. The front door flew open before I even reached it, Mark standing there with a grim expression.“She’s upstairs,” he said, his voice steady but tinged with worry. “She fainted suddenly in my Mom's room. Serena’s with her now.”I pushed past him without a word, taking the stairs two at a time. My heart thundered in my chest, each step bringing me closer to the room where Lila was. When I finally entered, I saw her lying pal

Elliot“Tell me what you need from me,” I asked, leaning against the wall of his office, my arms crossed.Uncle Liam looked up from his laptop, removed his glasses, and sighed heavily. The weight of his exhale told me whatever he was about to say wouldn’t sit well.“Take a look,” he said, turning the screen toward me.I moved to the empty chair in front of his desk and began reading. My jaw tightened as my eyes scanned the document. The history of his pack stared back at me—a history deeply rooted in my mother’s bloodline. Her ancestors had fought tooth and nail to preserve it through countless wars.“Why are you giving it to Mark, then?” I asked, my voice cold, carefully masking the unease bubbling inside me.“I don’t have children,” he replied with a dismissive shrug. “And you clearly don’t want it. I won’t force this pack onto you. You already have your pack, your mate’s pack soon, and let’s not forget—you're going to be the Alpha King. Your responsibilities are only going to multip

LilaThe afternoon sun filtered through the windows of Aunt Julia’s room, casting soft patterns on the walls as we sat in a tense silence. My thoughts were a chaotic swirl, her revelations still echoing in my mind as we had tea. I had come here to connect with my mother’s roots, but instead, I found myself questioning everything I thought I knew about my family.“Lila,” Julia began gently, her hand resting on mine, “I know this is a lot to take in. Your mother loved you more than anything in this world. Her decisions—everything she endured—it was all for you. But that doesn’t mean the truth should be hidden from you.”I nodded slowly, trying to steady my breathing. “I need to know everything, Aunt Julia. I can’t live with half-truths anymore. If my father lied about this, what else did he lie about?”Julia’s gaze softened with empathy, and she leaned back, her expression thoughtful. “Your father… Andrew was a complex man, Lila. He was ambitious, driven, and deeply insecure. He loved no
